A few weeks had passed with little drama, everyone was too busy with their exam preparations. Rose and Scorpius didn't dare look at one another since the night of their 'break up'. Lily found the whole thing quite funny. Scorpius would enter the Great Hall and Rose would suddenly run out the room red faced while her friends looked dumbfounded. Or Rose would walk outside and Scorpius would stop mid-sentence and become stone faced. They were so awkward around each other that the tension in the air could be cut with a knife. But the exams had made so many people busy that even Scorpius and Rose could sit in front of each other and not notice, their noses pressed to their textbooks, writing down the notes they would need.
The day before Lily'd had exams in Potions, Herbology and Defence Against the Dark Arts, she thought she did quite well. All night every Hogwarts student seemed so wrapped up in their own little bubbles of solitude and hard work that the atmosphere in the school that week felt so grave-like that it made Lily shiver countless times.
That night Lily stayed up in her common room, revising for the next days exams, History of Magic, Charms and Astronomy. Lily's thoughts kept drifting off to the summer holidays. She couldn't wait to go home, she missed Godric's Hollow.
'Oi Lily!' Scorpius ran into the common room. He looked frantic.
'What's wrong?' Lily bolted up watching him pace in front of her.
'I need a huge favor... Could you please ask your parents if I could stay for a part of the holidays?' Scorpius stopped his pacing and looked at Lily, piercing her with his gaze.
'Why? What happened with your home?' Lily blurted out.
'Mum isn't telling me anything, she said that something is wrong with dad... She told me that I need to stay away from the house for a while, look I know your parents might not like my family and all, and I know that this is a huge deal but-'
'Woah, slow down. Okay sit down,' Lily interrupted. 'Good, now slowly tell me what's happened at your house... What do you mean something is wrong with your dad? Did something bad happen?'
'I don't know, mum just said to stay away from the house for a while, to stay with a friend.' Scorpius stared at his shaking hands.
'It's okay, calm down. Alright I'll send a not to mum and dad now, you can come to the owlery with me to send it off.' Lily gently pulled him up and they both trudged down to the owlery, with parchment and ink in their hands.

'Lily that sounds to forceful! Make it sound like a question.' Scorpius fretted reading over the short note.
'I think it sounds fine.' Lily held up her nose, ignoring Scorpius' complaints. A short sentence was written on the parchment Lily held in her hands. Scorpius is going to stay for the holidays, see you soon. -Lily.
'But-' Lily hushed him with a loud shush and called her owl, Zeva, over.
'Hello beautiful, sorry I don't have any snacks. I need you to go send this to mum and dad please.' Lily tied the parchment to Zeva's foot before scratching her behind the ear. Zeva swooped off into the darkness. The other few owls hooted at the two standing there. The rest must've been off hunting.
'What if they say no?' Scorpius asked as the two made their way back into the castle.
'Well then I'll hide you in a trunk.' They laughed.

The Hogwarts Express screeched its final signal to the students before finally storming away from Hogsmeade Station. Lily watched the school she had lived in for a year disappear for the holidays. She felt an emptiness reach her insides.
'Lily this is a bad idea, they didn't even reply!' Scorpius had his head between his knees. He looked like he was going to be sick.
'Oh shut up Scor, let's play some Exploding Snap.' Albus said.
Lily laughed, 'Stop worrying, they didn't have enough time to reply, hopefully they had enough time to digest that you'd be staying.' Scorpius groaned and finally looked up to play Exploding Snap with Albus. Lily watched them for a while, laughing whenever a card suddenly exploded, making them shout. She didn't want the train ride to end, but at the same time she couldn't wait to go home. She couldn't wait to see what her mum and dad make of Scorpius staying for a bit of the holidays. She also couldn't wait to see the look on James' face when he finds out about Scorpius. She laughed to herself, settling deep into her seat and watching the greenery outside pass by like a bullet.
AN: hey guys, I am so sorry for the last crappy chapter! I hope i made it up to you in this one. I am very sorry if it seems rushed, it's because I did rush it x) okay so I'm finding it so difficult to keep up with this story along with all my school work so I think I'll put this story on hold until the school holidays come but until then I will not be updating anymore. So Lily's first year has finally ended! I am so excited to write about what happens next! I will probably skip to her fourth year when I start writing again otherwise this book will go on forever.
Plus there will be more Scorily in there since this was more of an introduction to who they are and the brief moments of them liking each other, you know like primary school love x'D I hope you have enjoyed the story so far and I know in the year to come that you will adore the rest of what I have to write about it! I KNOW I WILL x'D hahahah any way thank you for your patience and your support <3
