It was the heat that woke Lily up early the next morning. Her eyes were still shut and it felt like her whole body was wrapped up in the hottest, heaviest blanket. She heard the birds outside just beginning to chirp awake. Beads of sweat were forming on her forehead. Her eyes snapped open when she heard a mumble of words. Lily didn't know where she was. She was looking at a soft warm object in front of her that continually rose and fell. Then she heard the murmur again and looked up.

It was Scorpius. His face was mere centimeters from Lily's and his arm was wrapped up tightly around Lily's waist.

They were still on the couch. Lily tried to move away without waking him up but the back rest of the couch was pressed up against her spine.

She looked back up at Scorpius and noticed the slight discolouration to his dark eyelashes. The lighter lashes pronounced themselves more as the darkness of the room subsided to the rising sun. She also saw the light sprinkle of freckles over his cheeks he had aquired while trying to tan. She smiled at the memory of it and her eyes dropped to his lips. Never had she noticed how full they were.

'Checking me out are you' the lips moved. Lily looked up at the open silver eyes and gasped. She pushed herself away from Scorpius. He fell backwards and landed on the ground.

'Ouch!' He laughed out loud.

'I'm so sorry, you scared me!' Lily tried to explain herself.

'Mhm... Next time would you like me to let you check me out? Or...?'

'I wasn't checking you out! I was simply disgusted by the big pimple on your chin and was trying to figure out how to tell you about it!' Lily lied.

'Sure sure.' Scorpius smirked, but none the less his hand went to his chin. 'Your hair's a mess.'

Lily's face reddened more than before and she quickly pulled her hair into a bun.

'Let's go.' Lily said and stormed out of the tower with Scorpius hot on her heels. He found his broom and together they flew off, the jar containing the Seed in Lily's hands, back to London.

Lily's and Scorpius' phones both buzzed as soon as they passed the boarders of Hogwarts. Lily lightly groaned as she nuzzled her head between his shoulders.

'They're going to kill us aren't they?' Scorpius yelled back, amusement stealing over his tone. Lily nodded, wishing the flight back to London would never end as she knew she'd have to hear her parent's anger and arguments through the phone.

You'll be fine. Promised the Seed.

When they finally touched down in a forest close to London Scorpius finally spoke.

'Alright, plan is this... we call our parents tell them that we were at a muggle friends house and that they had no reception. Tell them we're fine and will be staying the remainder of the time, with said friend, studying to finish off an overdue project.'

Lily nodded, 'Okay and if that doesn't work?'

'We go to plan B.' He was staring at his phone.

'Which is?' Lily asked after a minute of waiting.

'We run away from home and find our own home, a place where we can do anything we want without their permission.'

Lily laughed, 'okay... on the count of three... One...'

'Two...' he whispered.

'Three!' They said in unionship before pressing dial next to their mothers contact.

Lily heard half of the first ring before her mother's harsh voice yelled through the phone, 'where are you?!'

'Hey mum I'm at Kara's house.' Lily replied smoothly.

'Why are you not here?!' Her mother bellowed.

'I told you I was going to Kara's by owl just before the holidays!' Lily acted defensive.

'It says no where here that you were going to do that Lily!' She yelled through the phone.

'Well I must've forgotten to put it in then.' She replied sheepishly.

'Couldn't you call or something?! We had to call the muggle police! And you want to know what those fools told us? They said, she's probably run away, she'll be back in a few days, you could've been dead for all we knew! And-'

Lily interrupted her, 'mum, it's fine, I'm okay! Either way Kara's house doesnt have any reception right now so I couldn't text or call you, no matter how hard I tried.'

'Is that Lily?' She heard her father's voice on the other line. The sound of the phone moving from one hand to another reached Lily's ears.

'Lily?' Her father's soft voice calmed her most deepest, deadliest nerves.

'Hey dad.' She whispered.

'What happened Lily?'

'Nothing, I was just at Kara's house for the past couple of days and she had no reception. I thought I put that into my last letter... I'm sorry dad.' She replied quickly and to the point.

'So you'll be coming home now?' Her father asked eagerly.

'No I'm sorry dad, I've got to finish off this huge project with Kara that's overdue, I just came into town to call and see how the family was doing.' Lily easily lied.
'Well we're okay now knowing that you're safe, but Lily please never do that to us again, your mother almost had a heart attack.'

Lily laughed, 'sorry dad, I promise I won't do it again.'

'Alright, say hi to Kara for me and finish off that project in time for school. Goodbye Lily.'

'Bye dad.' The line went flat. Lily turned to Scorpius he had just got off the phone with his mother.

'Dad says hi,' Lily said.

Scorpius smirked, 'mum says hi too.'
