Lily's hazel eyes shone with tears as her brothers entered the Hogwarts Express. This was the dozenth time she had cried today, and the number would just increase over time.

'Darling, please stop crying, they'll come back safe and sound.' Her mother took her into her arms softly wiping the tears away.

'It's not that, it's just... why can't I come along too?' Lily cried.

'Because... you're too... smart for them right now, they are very scared of your power...' Harry Potter made up as he pushed Lily's messy hair behind her ear.

'So what should I do?' Lily whispered.

'Keep them afraid.' Harry laughed. Lily smiled and slowly stopped her tears.

'Did you finally stop her crying?' James came from behind Lily, scaring her. His brown eyes, just like his mothers, shone with excitement.

'Watch it James.' Ginny cautioned.

'Dad!' Albus appeared from the large group of witches and wizards. 'Dad, I just saw Rose and Hugo.'

'Well we better go find them, maybe Ron will show me the Quiddich game bet he promised.' Harry stood tall, looking for Ron's red flaming hair over the heads of the witches and wizards walking around. The Potter family walked together looking for the Weasley's.

'Harry! Ginny!' A recognisable voice yelled. It was Ron and his family. Hermione hugged Ginny engrossing her in a serious talk about a book she had been reading of late. Lily's disappointment of having to wait a year before getting into Hogwarts was long forgotten. Now that she was surrounded by her family and people she loved she could finally relax.

That was until her hazel eyes met the melting silver eyes from across the distance. Malfoy. Scorpius Malfoy. The son of the Hogwarts traitor, Draco Malfoy. They looked exactly alike. Same sneer, same pointed face, same hair. The only difference was, where Draco's eyes were cold and piercing, Scorpius' were warm and inviting. Scorpius stared at Lily and Lily stared back at Scorpius. That was until-

'Lily what are you staring at?' James asked. The Weasley's and Potter's all looked at who she was staring at.

'Isn't that Draco Malfoy?' Rose asked getting a hard look from her father.

'Yeah... And that must be his son, Scorpius... God they look so alike...' Ginny whispered. All of them were too busy staring at the Malfoy family to notice Lily walking away from them. Lily didn't even stop to think what she was doing.

'Hello...' Lily said when she got close enough to the still staring Scorpius.

'Hi...' He replied stepping away from his bickering parents. 'I'm Scorpius Malfoy... And who might you be?' His tone carried arrogance.

'Lily Potter.' She answered with her head held high. If he was going to be arrogant, well... so was she.

Scorpius laughed, 'Well I guess we can't speak to each other...'

'Yeah I guess we can't, Malfoy.' Lily whispered. Scorpius laughed harder.

'Alright then, Potter.' Scorpius grinned cheekily.

'Scorpius! Come here!' His father shouted angrily. Scorpius' eyes flickered to fear in an instant. Lily was about to calm him when her own father shouted at her.

'Lily! What are you doing?' Lily looked behind her as her family stared at Lily in shock. She quietly made her way over to them with her head hung low.

'Were you just conversing with the enemy?' Ron asked bewildered. Any other time this comment would have been laughed at, but now everyone took it seriously.

'I was just saying hello...' Lily murmured. No one made a sound as the Hogwarts Express whistled for every Hogwarts student to get on.

'Okay everyone on!' Hermione was the first to speak. Lily said goodbye to James and Albus first as they eyed her strangely, Then came Rose.

'Is he mean?' Rose asked smiling at her cousins loss for words.

'Uh... I don't... Erm... I guess he's nice... Arrogant though...' Lily replied.

'Arrogant, just like his father.' Harry said, over hearing Lily's and Rose's conversation. Harry decided not to humiliate Lily, either way she was just saying hello... nothing more. Everyone boarded the Hogwarts Express and soon it started to move away from the train stop. Lily ran after it waving frantically to her two brothers and Rose. They waved back laughing as she ran. The train started to out speed her and she stopped running. Tears sprung back into her eyes as she had to wait another year until she could go to Hogwarts with her brothers.

Then he was there again, his soft warm grey eyes and his tidy blonde hair. But this time there was something different... his cheek was bruised. Scorpius smiled at her and she smiled back, waving at him too.
