Scorpius' calm exterior didn't show one sliver of the utmost rage he was experiencing inside his head. How dare the Death Eater call Lily a 'filthy half breed', how dare he man-handle her in such a way. The rage was beyond comparing to anything he had ever felt before.

However, he showed none of this to the Death Eater, he simply said, 'let her go,' for the fourth time, in the most calmest voice he could muster. A calm that was usually followed by a hellish freak storm. A quiet that seemed to go on for eternity submerged the trio before the Death Eater smirked and said, 'come and get her then,' he did sort of a half twist and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Scorpius stood there for what felt like half an hour before he finally moved again.

'No...' He whispered, looking around for the Death Eater and Lily, but it was too late. They had already apparated.

He numbly made his way back to the large group of students stationed outside of the school, a few of the students were lying on the floor being carefully taken care of by the school matron.

The Death Eater left behind Scorpius' father. The sliver of energy Scorpius had left he used on his father. Making sure to jab him extra hard, Scorpius had to whisper 'reneverate' three times before his father's eyes flew open.

'Where did he go?' Scorpius spat, holding his father by the collar. Professor McGonagall limped over to Scorpius' side.

'Mr Malfoy what do you think you're doing?'

'He took her, the Death Eater took her.' He stared at his father's cold grey eyes. 'Tell me where he took her.'

There seemed to be a battle raging behind his father's eyes, just as Scorpius seemed to want to give up, his father sagged under his own weight. The grey of his eyes losing their usual coldness as his mind threatened to shut down again.

'Manor...' Draco croaked before going unconscious once more. Scorpius let his father's collar slip through his fingers, a crease finding its way between his brows. Why would the Death Eater take Lily to the Malfoy Manor? The place hadn't been used in years. He looked up at McGonagall, who simply stared back. A look of raw determination passed over her features before she got up off the grass and pulled off her hat.

'Er... Professor...?'

'You're going to need to go save her Mr Malfoy... portus...-' the hat glowed an odd blue before going to its original black state. '-I wont be able to go with you as I'm needed at the school... you should take a teacher with you as it wont be safe-'

'I can look after myself and Lily-'

'Malfoy this is no time to play the hero, we're dealing with the fallen Death Eater's children, this is quite seriously a life or death situation...' Professor McGonagall looked down at Scorpius with a sad expression in her eyes. 'What is that phrase those first years use so loosely? You only live once? Well quite right.' Professor McGonagall placed the hat on the floor, 'I've given you a minute before the portkey takes you to the Malfoy Manor, take a teacher with you.' McGonagall walked over to the students who were still on the ground bleeding. They should've healed by now... the Death Eaters must've used curses that couldn't be healed by a simple wave of a wand.

McGonagall should've known better than to trust that Scorpius would actually take another person with him. Another person to endanger. Scorpius would go alone.

He turned his back on the crowd of students so that when he crouched down to hold the portkey he looked like he was just tying his shoe.

He waited with his hand on the hat and batted breath for a few seconds before he felt a tug behind his navel. His surroundings blurred around him.
