The next morning came around glaringly. Lily's eyes were scratchy and groggy. She wanted to go back to sleep. Staying up until two o'clock in the morning with Scorpius, making plans on what to do next wasn't as a good idea as what she had originally thought at the time . She regretted it now as the sunlight blinded her.
Groaning, Lily lifted her body off of the bed and made her way downstairs in her pyjamas. A loud racket bowled over her hearing like a monster truck. The Weasley's had come for a visit.
'Good morning Lily!' The whole family shouted in her direction. She waved at them and made her way to the other side of the kitchen to make herself some cereal and listened to her uncle Ron tell a wild story that had her aunt, Hermione, shaking her head. Ron must've been exaggerating the story to get a headshake like that.
'Hey lily, are you all set for our Hogsmeade visits?' Hugo Weasley, one of the many cousins Lily had, made his way to Lily's side.
'Hogsmeade?'
'Remember? We can go visit the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes shop there since we're old enough. Only forth years and above can enter the store, apparently a third year tried to get in last year... She ended up turning into a chicken.' Hugo laughed.
'Oh yeah! I had forgotten...' Lily's mind had been so full of everything to do with Scorpius that she had completely forgotten about school in general. 'How come everyone is here?'
Hugo laughed at her expression, 'We're going into Diagon Alley together.'
'Oh wonderful, this large group of redheads won't catch the muggles attention.' Lily's hand brushed her own red hair out of the way as Hugo laughed harder.

After an hour of breakfast the Potter and Weasley family left for Diagon Alley to buy any last minute school supplies since the school year would start in a fortnight.
'Hey dad,' Lily pulled her father by the sleeve as they walked down the street towards the Leaky Cauldron, a popular wizarding inn and pub in London which was well hidden from muggle eyes. Behind it hid Diagon Alley.
Lily pulled her father away from the large family. 'I was wondering something last night... Was Voldemort the only one who could make the Dark Mark appear on a Death Eater's forearm?'
Harry Potter looked shocked at her question for a few seconds, however he was so used to these types of queries from Lily that he brushed it off quickly. 'Well, he could brand people, if that's what you mean...?'
'No, no. As in, if the Death Eaters were to show up now and have the Dark Marks on them would that mean that Voldemort is back?... Hypothetically.' Lily quickly added after noticing her fathers stricken face.
'Well the Death Eaters will always have the Marks on them it'll just look like faded scars. If the Marks were black however I'd be a little bit concerned...' Harry looked down at his daughter, calculating.
'Why?'
'It'd mean that the Marks are active and that the Death Eaters are planning something.'
'So it'd mean Voldemort is back?' Lily's heart steadily began to increase.
'No, it'd just mean that they're up to something.' Harry looked quizzically at Lily but before he could ask her why she was asking such questions she smiled at him and gave him a peck on the cheek.
'Thanks dad.' She zoomed after James and Hugo as they made their way inside the Leaky Cauldron, leaving her father looking taken aback.

Once Lily had finished her milling around of the shops and had purchased all of the required stationary she needed, she sat down outside of Florean Fortescue's. She watched the white fluffy clouds make strange shapes in the periwinkle blue sky. Earlier Lily had sent a text message to Scorpius informing him of the information she had gathered from her father and asking him if he was sure the Marks were black.
Of course I'm sure they were black, it's the first thing I noticed on them. So they are up to something bad! Was Scorpius' response. Lily we need to find out what it is and soon. The sooner the better. I'll keep an eye out over here - don't worry, I'll stay safe. I'll see you on the First.
Lily grew worried as the minutes ticked by. What if they wanted to regenerate Voldemort? Could they do that? Of course not. Lily banished the thoughts from her mind instantly. Her father had already killed him. There was no doubt about it.
But then what are they up to? The tiny voice inside her head kept asking. And what did they want with a seed? Lily's thoughts mulled over these questions for a while until her brain hurt. Whatever it was it had to be evil.
She should've asked her father... No, she thought, he's already been through so much of it. She wouldn't let him experience that again. This was hers and Scorpius' fight. They would finish this.
What an immature thing to say... You should just let the Aurors deal with it. Her mind thought of the Aurors raiding every Death Eaters home, watching her father get into the heat of that battle because that was his profession. No, she wouldn't allow that to happen. She would protect her family from it, even if that meant she had to face the unknown battle alone.
Lily grew still for a moment. The warmth of the surrounding air having no effect on her cold insides. And then a soft voice from the depths of her mind made her insides melt by softly whispering, you won't be alone, Scorpius will be right by your side through everything...
Lily snapped her mind back to reality, quickly shaking her head. What was she thinking? Her cheeks flared but she quickly composed her features when Albus strolled to her side. She had no idea why her heart was racing so fast. Was it the cool icecream she had eaten earlier that was making her feel so happy at the thought of seeing Scorpius? No. She was excited to go back to Hogwarts... That had to be it.
