For Lily the next few weeks felt to her like everything had gone back to normal. Scorpius was talking to her again and they were pursuing the Tree again. But something else seemed very different.

The voices inside her head that used to whisper had grown into full fledged screams. Crying out for help. Eventually, in her fourth period of Defence Against the Dark Arts, which was located in the Dungeons, Lily had to ask Professor Schmidt if she could leave as she wasn't feeling too well.

'Of course Lily, just make sure you get notes from someone else about what we learned today.' He replied before being struck in the face with floating textbook by one of the boys. Lily hastily left the room, all the while the persistent screaming in her mind making her double over. She couldn't bare it any longer. She ran down the hall and up to the ground floor where the school entrance was located, the pounding in her head seemed to ease up a little bit as she rested her hot cheek against the cool wall tiles. What was happening to her?

'Hey Lily! Don't you have a class?' Lily turned around and looked up to see Scorpius staring down at her from the large staircase.

Lily licked her lips, 'Yeah I do, I just don't feel too well.' As she walked up the stairs the screaming in her head died down a bit.

'What's wrong?' Scorpius grabbed her shoulder as she tripped into him.

She took a breath before she replied, 'I don't know...'

'Here let me take you to the hospital wing.'

'No! I mean I'm sure it's nothing, just a bit dizzy. I mustn't have got enough sleep, that's all.' Lily quickly made up.

'Too much studying?' Scorpius had a smile in his voice. 'Don't worry Easter Holidays are next week, relax darling.'

Lily's eyes flashed up to him, 'What did I tell you about calling me darling with that sarcasm?'

Scorpius' grin could've touched his ears, 'I don't know what you're talking about... darling.'

There was a short pause as they looked at each other, weighing the pros against the cons, before Lily tried to grab Scorpius. He moved like a snake before she could grab him and he sprinted up the grand staircases, laughing and making sure to call her 'darling' every so often. The screaming voices inside her head completely forgotten.

'Text me when you get home,' Scorpius ordered Lily as they both found their own parents on platform 9¾. It was the Easter holidays and Lily was spending the holiday with her family. Lily nodded while she walked away, and as she did she caught her brother, Albus, eyeing them. Ever since Lily and Scorpius faked their relationship everything between Albus and Scorpius had been shredded like paper. The two hardly ever spoke to one another any more, the only form of communication being an odd head nod every now and then. Lily felt terrible and most times felt like telling Albus everything that was happening, especially everything about the Tree. However, she knew she couldn't, and nothing made her more miserable. Lily turned around and faced Scorpius and he knew exactly what was going on. He held out his arms and Lily quickly embraced him before letting go. She was about to turn around when Scorpius' finger tips slightly brushed her cheek, she felt goosebumps ride down her spine. She knew it was all an act but she couldn't help but notice her heart begin to thud and her cheeks slight warm themselves.

'Remember to rest, my darling...' Scorpius winked.

Lily crinkled her nose, her eyes darkened, she made to use her most silkiest voice as she reached up to touch his face, 'and you, my darling... Remember to shove it up your a-' his eyes widened slightly as the horn of the train blared through the air, cutting off her words.

He laughed, 'saved by the bell, my dear...' Lily huffed and walked away a slight upturn to her lips. The rest of the Potters waited for her near the entrance to platform 9¾, their mouths wide open.

'Are you telling me you're dating that filthy pureblood of a-' Lily cut James off with a look of pure contempt.

'Not a word.' She hissed at him. None of the Potters argued with her and from there they left to go back home to Godric's Hollow.

***

The journey home was a quiet one, no one dared to speak after seeing Lily with Scorpius the way they had, however, Lily's mind was quite preoccupied with an entirely different subject. Her brows were furrowed with concentration trying to hear something that was no longer there, she felt light headed with the amount of effort she was putting into just thinking about it.

The voices were quiet... No something was different this time... They were gone. A slight emptiness had taken over her mind, and she felt relief. When they had reached their little cottage in Godric's Hollow, Lily sprinted up to her room and shut the door behind her. She turned on her laptop, sent a quick message letting Scorpius know she had made it home and then typed into the search bar 'voices in my head', she clicked the first link that appeared and skim read the article. Words like 'personality disorders' 'inability to focus' and 'schizophrenia' seemed to be the words to catch her attention. Next she wrote 'schizophrenia' into the browser. This time sentences grabbed her attention, it is an illness', 'causes are not fully understood', Lily's brows seemed to encompass her eyes as she read on, 'If not receiving treatment, people with schizophrenia experience persistent symptoms of psychosis'. Lily started to feel nauseous. This couldn't be real. Lily's chest felt heavy, she tried to hear the voices again but not even a little whimper could be heard. She needed to get out of the house for a little while.

AN: hey guys how are you all? Ugh I know I'm really taking my time with updating -_- sorry about that, I'd give you the excuse of me finally getting a job however we all know the truth is that I'm lazy x'D haha sorry about that. Anyway I know the ending is crappy but I didn't want to leave you with a huge cliff hanger and then update 5 weeks later when you've forgotten what happened. Anyways I hope I did a good job of this chapter, in a few years time I'll probably look back as this and laugh at my mistakes but its what counts in the moment, so this is my moment x'D
Enjoy! ^.^
