Something quite strange and unique seemed to blossom between Lily and Scorpius within the following days. The two had returned to Hogwarts a day after their kiss. They hadn't had a moment alone since. Lily's thoughts were muddled with her family and everything that had happened since she had been camping with Scorpius.
'-and then dad ended up staying at the office for three days straight trying to sort out all of the trouble that had happened, the ex-Death Eaters had gone completely mad!' Albus filled her in as they walked down to the Great Hall for dinner. 'How was your camp with Kara?'
Scorpius' face flashed in her mind, the way he had moved in to kiss her, the thought alone made her face warm, 'it was alright, project took forever, but I got there in the end. Tell me more about what had happened.' The moment Lily had seen Kara she filled her in to everything that had happened and made her swear that if she was ever asked about being on a camp with Lily she would take it on board like it had happened. The talk with Kara seemed like it had lasted forever though, she kept asking questions Lily didn't even know the answer to.
'So are you two dating now?' Kara had immediately asked with a broad smile.
'I don't know.' Lily had replied, looking down. She hadn't had a moment alone with Scorpius since they had got to Hogwarts. Everything had seemed fine the morning they had left for Kings Cross Station, he even slipped his hand into hers as they walked down the streets.
Lily's thoughts snapped back to the present as her eyes met Scorpius' through the crowd of Hogwarts students heading down for dinner.
'Mhm,' Lily wasn't even paying attention to what her brother was saying any more. 'Listen I'll catch up with you later.' She quickly replied as she made for the place she had seen Scorpius, leaning against a wall, conversing with one of his classmates.
His eyes lit up as they fell on Lily and a smile tugged itself onto his lips. He pat his friend on the shoulder and said a quick goodbye.
'Hey.' Lily sounded breathless.
'Hi.' Scorpius grinned. He reached towards Lily's face and her breath caught. She watched him as he tucked a lock of her red hair behind her ear, tutting as he did it, 'always so messy.'
Lily's face reddened, 'I'll have you know I woke up on a forest floor this morning.'
'Oh did you?' Amusement danced in his eyes, 'how tragic...'
'I know right, also woke up to the loudest snore of a lifetime.'
Scorpius burst out laughing, 'well I'll have you know that I woke up to a big puddle of drool all over my shoulder.'
Lily gasped in outrage before bursting into giggles. 'I... don't... drool...' she hardly got the words out from her laughter and embarrassment.
'Whatever makes you sleep better at night, love.' He grinned again. 'Ah, alone at last.'
Lily looked around and to her surprise the room was silent and empty. An odd silence encompassed the duo.
'So...' Lily awkwardly shuffled, looking at her feet. 'What now?'
'Whatever you want...' he whispered after Lily had looked up at him. Lily's neck prickled with heat.
'Uh...' she mumbled as Scorpius' head slowly came forward. She stiffened as her stomach turned. He was still getting closer.
'Oi!' The shout seemed to jolt the two from the darkest depths of their minds. A fist flew past Lily's face, missing it by a mere inch and a loud cracking sound met her ears. James. He had planted his fist into Scorpius' now profusely bleed face.
Scorpius yelped as he hit the floor. Now James turned his attention to Lily. His eyes clouded over with a rage Lily hadn't ever seen before. She cowered as he approached her.
'What the hell do you think you're doing!?' Spit flew from his mouth as he yelled.
'I-I-I...' Lily was shaking. A few of the students that had overheard the commotion were peering into the Entrance Hall, gaping at what they saw.
'Lily what is wrong with you? Why were you trying to kiss him?' The rage on her brothers face was too much for her to handle.
'I-I'm sorry- I didn't mean- I mean I-' Lily couldn't make sense of her thoughts, they seemed to be running at a million miles an hour. How was she supposed to explain this? She didn't even know what was going on.
James grabbed her by the shoulders and bellowed into her face. 'What the hell are you doing with filth like him?!' Now the whole school seemed to be surrounding them. Lily felt embarrassed and lightheaded.
Just as James began to tell her off again his face froze and he was thrown off his feet. Lily now stared in horror at Scorpius, his wand pointing directly at James.
'Don't you dare shout at my girl ever again.' His voice was barely audible, but it still had the capability to make the room full of students shudder. Everyone stood still before the spell was finally broken by the school professors entering the room. Lily saw Albus fly towards James and in that moment she grabbed Scorpius by the collar and pulled him out of the room, shunning away his every protest.
Hello, lovely, wonderful readers that deserve a much better author than me as I take so freaking long to upload, this is more of a filler rather than anything else, but I guess I really missed writing after taking like a four month break :/ I'm so sorry about that, I'm in uni now! so that's fun, so difficult though, anyway I just wanted to update to let you know I'm still alive and well xD
