JUNGKOOK P.O.V.
"Stay still," Jungkook winced as his best friend dabbed a small damp cotton ball underneath his nose, mopping up the blood that had already started to slowly dry. "It hurts," he complained through another wince, he had managed to convince his roommate that he didn't need to go to the hospital since he knew his nose wasn't broken, it was more than likely just a bruise which he could already feel forming if the slight painful throbbing was anything to go by which only seemed to spike when Yoobin applied pressure in a certain area.
He could also breath perfectly fine, indicting that nothing was out of place and there was no trapped blood. "Oh shut up," Yoobin huffed and switched the now red stained cotton ball out for a crisp white one, not hesitating as he continued to clean away the rest of the blood.
This surprisingly wasn't a new scenario with these two given Jungkook's naturally clumsy habits, his younger friend had spent a lot of time cleaning up cuts and caring for bruises that his hyung was prone to get.
"This is your own fault, hyung. What happened to waking people up normally? You know, without the screaming and over the top shaking." his best friend scolded and winced again as the younger applied more pressure then necessary over the painful area.
"I did try waking you up early but you were practically dead to the world. How's that sleeping schedule?" he asked, eyebrows furrowing in concern as he forced himself to forget the dull ache in his nose for now, he would have plenty of time to focus on it later. Yoobin is silent for a moment, continuing with his task even though there's hardly anymore blood left to clean. "I've been sleeping well—" the younger cut himself off at Jungkook's look, heaving a great sigh as he carried on, "not as well as I'd like to."
His concern for the younger only grew, wondering what could have possibly been keeping his best friend awake. His first theory was that stress could be playing apart in it but he could that wasn't quite it, he knew his younger friend like the back of his hand; extremely well. "What's wrong?" he prodded gently as he grabbed his best friends hand, taking the slightly dirty cotton ball and tossing it into the rubbish bin to join the others. He waited patiently for Yoobin's response, knowing not to push too much.
"I saw him last week at Peggy's cafe, he wasn't with her though. We kinda like, I don't know, met each others eyes and he seemed relieved? I ran when he started approaching and I haven't been to Peggy's since because I know he's going to be there again." his roommate rushed out and he felt his eyebrows furrow in confusion, feeling slightly lost as he tried to process the words being spewed at him. "Who?" he finally asked and Yoobin immediately sent him an exasperated look, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Sung-mo. Hyung, keep up!"
Jungkook racked his brain, trying to figure out why the name sounded familiar and it didn't take long before it finally clicked, his eyes widening as he stared at his friend. "Sung-mo? As in your soulmate, Sung-mo?" It was quiet for a moment before Yoobin sighed and nodded, dropping into the empty seat across from him. "Yes, him. He isn't even supposed be around this area and after our last interaction, I don't think I want to go through another one." he cringed a little, remembering his best friend's first encounter with Sung-ho.
They had both decided to take a quick trip down to the local mall simply because Peggy had decided to increase his paycheck slightly and even to this day he doesn't know why, perhaps it was just motherly instincts that Peggy seemed to possess when it came to both of the males. He remembers how the both of them had to come to the agreement of pausing their small shopping spree to get something quick to eat, which led them into the small food court and Yoobin, quite literally, into Sung-mo's arms.
Jungkook knew straight away that both of them were soulmates, he could see it clear as day in their eyes and he was so happy for his best friend in that moment but of course, it all came to a stop when the guys soulmate made herself known. Rejection soon followed after and Yoobin had been heartbroken, the schooling system never taught you how to deal with rejections, flat out saying that you would always be accepted and cherished by your soulmate; obviously not.
