JUNGKOOK P.O.V.
Jungkook stayed rooted in his place for awhile, his eyes wide as he watched his house leader disappear completely around a corner. His two front bunny teeth nibbled at his bottom lip in worry, he hoped Jimin wouldn't be scolded all that badly. He couldn't stop the feeling of guilt spreading through him because even though he didn't steal anything or forge a permission slip, he still went along with the older male. The younger wished he could have at least taken some of the blame, but he knew that would be impossible now seeing as the older male had already admitted to it.
"Are you coming, little one?" the sudden voice tore him out of his head and back into reality, his eyes scanned around and he quickly realised that both Yoongi and Hoseok were missing from the room, although he couldn't remember when both males had left. "Jungkook?" the voice questioned, causing the younger to startle slightly and look to his left, where the voice had come from.
His eyes met the questioning ones of Seokjin, causing his cheeks to flush as he quickly scrambled towards the elder, remembering that the house leader had practically ordered both him and Taehyung to help out in the kitchen. The older male let out an amused chuckle before shaking his head and walking into the kitchen, Jungkook following behind.
The younger's eyes widened slightly as he took notice of Taehyung, the older male moving around the kitchen effortlessly as he placed the ingredients that they would be using down on the counter neatly. The younger of the two curiously peaked at the countless in ingredients that littered the counter, trying to guess what the elder had planned to cook for dinner tonight.
"Right," Seokjin suddenly clapped his hands together, gaining the attention of the two younger males. "We're cooking tteokguk and spicy pork with cheese at Hobi's request," the elder stated and the younger felt his eyes widen slightly at the information, remembering how his mother used to make him tteokguk when he was sick or after a particular bad day at school with the bullies. He also remembered trying to make it with his best friend but he never seemed to get the recipe right, something always seemed missing and so he couldn't help but feel curious as to how the elder made it, since Seokjin's food always seemed to remind him of home.
"Little one, I want you to cut the rice cakes." the younger nodded, luckily remembering the way you were meant to cut them for this type of soup. "Tae baby, I want you to cut and prepare the vegetables and then the pork. Don't go overboard with the seasoning though." the two were quick to nod and start their given tasks.
Jungkook hummed quietly to himself as he grabbed the plastic container before popping the lid open and seeing the familiar white cylinder-shaped rice cakes. He gently grabbed a handful and placed them on the cutting board that the elder had placed there minutes before, along with a regular sharp cutting knife. He placed the container back in it's previous spot before grabbing the knife, starting to cut the rice cakes into thin strips, making sure none of them were cut unevenly or too big.
He was just about finished when Seokjin's voice rang out through the quiet kitchen, "hey, little one? Could you go and set the table for me? The others should be down soon, I'll finish up here." the younger was quick to nod before grabbing a clean towel and cleaning his hands, he knew elder wouldn't have much to finish which is why he didn't have a problem grabbing the plates and cutlery before venturing off towards the dining table.
The younger male was just about to place down the first plate but paused at the sound of footsteps entering the dining room, causing him to curiously look up at the four males that had just entered. He couldn't stop his eyes from roaming towards Jimin and he couldn't help but notice that the older males eyes were slightly red and puffy, indicating that he had cried in the past hour or so. Jungkook also couldn't help but notice the slight winces that left the older male as he walked further into the room, the younger's eyebrows furrowed slightly before he shook his head and carried on with his given task.
