JUNGKOOK P.O.V.

Jungkook glanced at the clock and frowned deeply when he realised that he had already been awake for two hours and still hadn't found anything worth giving Jimin, who's birthday just happened to be today. He sighed and slumped further into his desk chair, his teeth worrying over his bottom lip as he drifted through his thoughts. He had set his alarm for five and now it was seven and in those two hours he had managed to make his bed, take a shower and get dressed in an outfit appropriate for today's weather.

Another sigh left his lips as his eyes filtered around his bedroom, he had already gone through half of his things in hopes of finding something suitable to give to the older male but no matter what he found, nothing seemed to satisfy him and so it was put back. His gaze stopped at his set of drawers, where he had put random accessories and jewelry that didn't really fit anywhere else.

The younger shrugged before getting out of the desk chair and walking across the room, stopping in front of the drawers. He opened the first drawer and peaked inside, his frown deepening when he didn't see anything other than small ribbons and hair accessories. He shut the drawer and moved onto the second one, this one being a lot more cluttered than the first.

He rummaged around until his eyes fell onto a sleek black box which caused his eyebrows to furrow in slight confusion, not remembering what he had bought that had come in such a package. The younger grabbed the box and closed the drawer before walking back towards his desk chair and sitting down, immediately flicking the lid of the box open.

Jungkook's eyes widened at the sight of the two black rings staring back at him, they almost seemed to be shining in the dim light of the bedroom. He gently pulled one out and looked at it carefully, his eyes spotting the letters that were engraved on the inside of the ring.

"Aeternum," he muttered, cringing at how bad his latin sounded since he had quit as soon as he could, finding it more difficult than learning english. He pulled the other ring out and turned it slightly, spotting the same letters engraved in the same place as the other. If he remembered correctly the word translated to 'forever' which made it obvious that these rings were meant for a couple.

The younger had bought them a month after he had started working for Peggy, it was also the same day that he had received his pay check. He had been wanting to buy the rings months prior to that but he never could since they were pretty pricey and he never seemed to have enough money for them, it was stupid since he wasn't dating anyone at the time and he felt awkward giving the other one to Yoobin since they were best friends and he didn't want it to come off in the wrong way. But he remembers walking past the shop after turning his check in and receiving the money, something must have crossed his mind as he walked into the shop and spent half of the money on the rings, all because he liked how they looked and the meaning behind them.

If he was being honest, he's never used the rings since buying them, they've just sat in the same box they came in seemingly collecting dust. The younger sighed before placing the rings back into the box, would these make a good birthday present? They weren't best friends like he and Yoobin were so surely it wouldn't be weird to gift a matching ring, right?

Only time would tell.

Jungkook startled slightly as his bedroom door was swung open and his eyes widened as Yoongi strolled in, the males hair was all over the place which gave the impression that the older had just woken up which he probably had. "Oh you're already awake," the older grumbled once he saw the younger sitting at the desk in the room, already dressed. "How long have you been awake?" the male asked, his eyebrows raised slightly as he took in the younger's appearance.
