JUNGKOOK P.O.V.
Jungkook watched with rapt attention as two males tugged harshly on their end of the rope, trying their damndest to try and get the rope to snap so that they could win the challenge for their house. They had been going back and forth for awhile now and he couldn't help but feel exhausted just by watching and he knew the two males must feel way worst, especially with how rough the rope actually looked. He had been expecting some kind of soft rope, something that wouldn't cause any damage to the persons hands or something that would be easily breakable but that wasn't the case, at all.
When the twins had first carried out batches of rope he hadn't really thought anything of it; it was just rope in his eyes but then he had actually started paying more attention to the challenge taking place, mostly because he was curious to know how everyone would fair in this type of challenge.
The rope had proved to be rougher than what he had actually thought and it took awhile for people to actually break the rope and win the challenge for their house and when he looked carefully enough, he could see small fibers falling from the ropes. He didn't think it could get any worse but he had seen countless people walk away from their challenge, both victors and losers, their hands a bloody mess as their house members hurried to get them medical attention.
Even if they weren't bleeding, they were blistered and sore . . it only served to make him more nervous, his concern for Hoseok practically skyrocketing. The older male would be going next after the current males finished and as the time continued to tick by, his feeling of anxiety only seemed to grow. He didn't have a good feeling; it was an unusual feeling, especially since he hadn't felt this bad during Seokjin's challenge.
A startled yelp brought him away from his endless thoughts and he jumped slightly, a bit taken aback by the sudden noise. He focused back on the challenge just in time to see the two males fly backwards, hitting the ground with enough force that Jungkook couldn't help but wince, almost feeling winded himself.
The rope was broken, a clean split down the middle but he was still unsure who had managed to break it . . he couldn't really see who's rope still had the red mark on it, something that would determine who had won the challenge. If your end still had the red mark on it, you won and if it didn't then well . . you lost.
The younger watched as Liam walked towards the two males, helping the one closest to him stand up while the other male was already standing on his own, an odd sort of look spreading across his face. The twin curiously looked at both of the ropes that had now been discarded because of the fall the two males had, the younger had seen the two twins do this a lot so far and it honestly seemed pretty boring, doing the same thing over and over again until the challenges finally finished. He'd be tired after just a couple of minutes.
"Brooke's rope still has the red mark on it," Liam finally declared after a moment or so, turning his attention on the male who he had previously helped stand. It wasn't long before a round of cheers were filling the air, Brooke's house members making quick work of surrounding him, they were obviously in very high spirits that the male had won the challenge for their house; perhaps they had lost the previous challenge and this being the first one, gaining their house points.
It would explain the sheer amount of happiness . . he hadn't seen any of the houses look that excited at least not yet, anyway. That would probably change once the more difficult and definitely more tenser challenges started. Jungkook certainly wasn't looking forward to his challenge, he would actually group archery as one of the more difficult challenges, no matter how easy it may have looked to other people.
Come to think of it, archery was a rather skilled sport. He remembers when he used to attend his lessons, there would always been that one person who downplayed it, refusing to believe that holding a bow and shooting an arrow was difficult . . they would always be proven wrong at the end of the lesson because archery was not that easy, at all.
