JUNGKOOK P.O.V.

Jungkook couldn't believe it, there was an actual soulmate mark on his wrist which was identical to another six, two of which were looking at him in poorly masked shock. For the first time the silence between his house members was awkward and not at all comfortable, it made him feel nervous as he waited for one of the males to react.

It took awhile but eventually it was Taehyung who had snapped out of the daze first, his lips stretching out into a grin before he was bounding over to the younger member, grabbing the wrist and taking a closer look at the mark. "Wow, it looks so pretty. Don't you agree Jiminnie?" Taehyung asked Jimin, who had also now snapped out of his confused daze. He nodded as he smiled, "it's identical to ours. It just finished forming as well, going by the colour."

Jungkook's eyes remained wide, was he hearing this correctly? Did a soulmate mark just randomly appear on his wrist after feeling some weird pain or was he just hallucinating? He knew he didn't accept a drink off anybody so that possibility was out of the window, he wasn't hallucinating all this which meant it was actually happening. The mark was very much real and it was very much on his wrist.

"What?" he asked, his voice high with shock. His mind wasn't processing this quick enough and he knew that meant he was going to go into panic mode soon enough if his mind didn't get some answers, that hopefully made sense. "Oh, right. This is probably a little confusing to you but to keep it short you're our soulmate, our last one actually." Jimin explained causally, like this wasn't a big deal.

"I'm not," Jungkook blurted out, shocking the other two males as their smiles slowly faded at the younger's words. Before any of them could speak he continued on, "I'm not your last soulmate or whatever that means, you've got the wrong person." he muttered as he roughly pulled his arm out of Taehyung's grip, who's face dropped, and pulled his sleeve down.

"What do you mean? That's our mark, you're our last soulmate. The person that binds everything together," Jimin said quickly, remembering how Namjoon had explained to them that if there was going to be a seventh half it would be important, it would bind everything into place. Taehyung hummed in agreement, nodding his head along with the others words.

Jungkook chuckled quietly as he shook his head, finding this entire thing rediculous. He was an unmarked, there was no way he had a soulmate, never mind soulmates. He was born to be alone, he was never created to be someone else's. "Very funny guys, nice joke. It isn't possible," he muttered, ignoring how the burning pain had started once again.

"No, you need to listen to us. We aren't joking or lying to you, the mark on your wrist? That's our mark, it was meant to be there. You're destined to be the centre piece of it all, the one who binds us together." Taehyung explained, his lips tugging down in a frown as he tried to make the younger male believe him. "It's true Jungkook-ah, you're our soulmate. You were destined for this, haven't you felt the pull? The pain?"

The younger male snapped then, a short laugh escaping him. "What aren't you getting? I'm not your fucking soulmate! I'm an unmarked goddammit, meaning no damn soulmate mark!" he yelled and quickly regretted his words, had he really just told them the truth? "Jungkook-ah," Jimin whispered and reached out but Jungkook pulled back with a whimper, his eyes watering as he turned and yanked the door open, running out as he ignored the calls of his name.

--

It had been a good two full days since the party and Jungkook had been avoiding his house members like the plague, Jimin and Taehyung especially which proved to be a little bit difficult, seeing as he had classes with them. He wasn't stupid, he knew they had told the others what had happened which was why he was ignoring them too. He was embarrassed and mad at himself, nothing made sense to him anymore.

He hoped the mark would disappear but it didn't, it was still there and it would still sometimes throb in pain, mostly during the nights. After he managed to shove his way through the crowds of drunk and loud teenagers he had gone back to his dorm, glad that Namjoon hadn't locked the door as he didn't have a key. He had gone straight to his bedroom and to his bathroom, where he jumped into the shower and scrubbed at the symbol until his skin was red and blotchy, but the mark never faded.

Jungkook sighed and shook his head, glancing at the alarm clock that read 6AM, the normal time he had been waking up so he wouldn't have to face any of his house members. He yawned quietly and lazily pushed his comforter back and slid out of bed, smiling when his feet made contact with his soft carpet.

He moved around his bedroom quietly, gathering his uniform and placing the articles of clothing neatly on his bed. The only thing he didn't bother grabbing was the grey waistcoat after learning that he didn't need to wear it which made him wonder why it was apart of the uniform if that was the case. Shaking his head he entered his bathroom, still being as quiet as possible as he brushed his teeth and washed his face, lazily brushing down his hair even though it didn't make a difference.

He found his attention dropping down to his wrist, eyeing the infinity symbol that was clear as day. Since it first appeared he refused to touch it, let alone look at it. Anytime he looked it a warmth spread through him and it wasn't a bad feeling either, it was calming but there were times when it called out to him, much like it was doing right now.

He scoffed and tore his eyes away from it, he wouldn't give in to whatever that was.

--

Jungkook quietly walked into the kitchen, not bothering to switch on the light in case the light ended up waking another house member, he wasn't ready to face any of them yet. He slowly opened the pantry door and started looking around, hoping to find something that could be eaten on the go. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss Seokjin's cooked breakfasts, because he did, but he wasn't going to take any chances. For now he was satisfied with eating cereal bars and if he was lucky enough, a bag of cookies.

He grabbed two cereal bars and shut the pantry door before turning around and freezing. Hoseok was stood in front of him, the older male had his arms crossed over his chest as he eyed the cereal bars with distaste, he looked like he had been awake for awhile now as there were no obvious signs of him having just woken up.

"You're up early again," he stated and it was clear to Jungkook that it wasn't a question and he had a sinking feeling that the older male had been waiting for him. "Um, yeah," he whispered as he side stepped Hoseok and walked out of the kitchen, shoving the two cereal bars into his blazer pocket as he reached the shoe rack. He didn't have to look behind him as he felt Hoseok hovering behind him, clearly the older wanted to talk.

"You can't keep this up forever little one. Believe it or not that mark on your wrist is our mark, and I think you need to accept that before something bad happens." Hoseok finally said as he watched the younger pull his shoes on and he smiled once he saw Jungkook freeze, knowing he had the younger's attention.

Jungkook bit his lip at Hoseok's words and he knew his assumptions had been correct, the others had been informed of what had happened at the party. "No, I think you need to accept that you're wrong. That mark means nothing to me, never will." he said, before opening the door and stepping out, making a point of slamming it behind him.
