JUNGKOOK P.O.V.

Peggy returned a few minutes later with a tray filled with goods and Jungkook immediately allowed a smile to crawl onto his lips, recognizing the items that were carefully balanced on the tray as the old woman carefully placed it down.

Ever since his first visit his order and his best friends had always been the same, it wasn't like they didn't like the other items on the menu because they did but he figured it was just a habit they both had picked up on other time. He really wasn't surprised that the woman had remembered it so easily, it wouldn't shock him if it turned out she had it written down somewhere. Anything for her boys as she usually would say.

"One banana milkshake and one small bowl of mint chocolate ice cream for Jungkook," the cafe order stated as she took the items off the tray and placed them down in front of him. He wasn't sure why but the mint chocolate ice cream here tasted better than any other he had tried before and it quickly became his favourite. The milkshake was the same, it wasn't too sweet but it wasn't too bitter either he had also noticed that the flavour wasn't overpowering either which he had noticed in a lot of other milkshakes he had tried.

"And for Yoobin, a vanilla milkshake with a slice of red velvet cake, freshly baked in house." he couldn't help the way in which his smile grew upon hearing those words, he would be lying if he said that he didn't miss them because he did. The perks of working here meant that sometimes you were practically here for hours on end, able to watch as the workers actually communicated with the customers but it also meant that free food was available and Jungkook absolutely adored the old woman's cooking.

He watched as the owner collected her tray before moving away from the table and back towards the counter, "I'll be right back, I still need to order that chocolate syrup. Maybe more than last time," she bustled away quickly, all while muttering to herself and the younger watched until she disappeared into the backroom where he had spent most of his breaks during his first few weeks of working at the café, far too nervous to actually engage with any of the other workers. It was only when Peggy seemed to catch on and start talking with him that he gradually became more comfortable around the place, taking his breaks with others in the staff room rather than the back one.

He averted his eyes after awhile and focused on the goods in front of him, not wasting a second as he grabbed the bowl of ice cream and pulled it towards him, grabbing the spoon the older woman had laid out. He would drink his milkshake later seeing as the ice cream would have probably melted by the time he got to it, if there was anything he hated more was when his ice cream melted.

"How can you eat that?" Yoobin questioned with a scrunched up nose as he watched his older roommate spoon some of the ice cream out of the bowl, "it's disgusting. Actual toothpaste." the younger finished, taking a sip of his vanilla shake. Jungkook rolled his eyes and pushed the spoon into his mouth, practically moaning as the familiar taste attacked his taste buds. He would have to get one of his hyungs to stock up on mint ice cream once he heads back to the dorm because he had seriously missed it. "For your information, it's nice and doesn't taste like toothpaste. What kind of toothpaste have you been using?" he sassed the younger, they both weren't a stranger to this argument.

His best friend grumbled, reaching for the red velvet cake. "You seriously enjoy ingesting that? It's like downing an entire tube of minty fresh toothpaste." his roommate complained again, forking a bit of the cake into his mouth. He chuckled quietly and shook his head at the youngers dramatics, choosing not to say anything else as he made a show of eating his ice cream, not missing the dirty looks the male was sending him.

"So, anything new with your soulmates?" Yoobin finally broke the comfortable silence that had surrounded them, almost having finished his cake. Jungkook thought for a moment while absentmindedly stirring the little ice cream he had left around his bowl, wondering if he should tell his best friend about what had happened only two nights ago.
