JUNGKOOK P.O.V.
Jungkook stood patiently in the queue for the ferries wheel, which was surprisingly small as everybody seemed to seek out the more bigger and faster rides in the theme park. He couldn't help but notice that most people in the queue were couples, some holding hands while others talked animatedly to their partner, obviously in high spirits. He wondered if his relationship with his hyungs would end up like that, or if it would remain platonic.
They hadn't discussed where he stood in the relationship and he couldn't help but feel a little awkward while being around them, he didn't fully understand if he was supposed to treat them like partners or just friends. He sighed and shook his head, storing the thoughts away until a later time as he wanted to be able to have fun without his thoughts disturbing him.
The queue moved forward and suddenly he was facing a smiling woman, her blonde curls framing her face as she eyed the three males with flushed cheeks. "Hello, is it just you three riding today?" she asked as she peered around the three, trying to see if anyone else was with them. The younger nodded in answer and jumped ever so slightly when the woman clapped her hands, "great! Compartment three and four are available, so feel free to claim whichever." she explained as she stepped to the right, leaving enough room for the three to carefully slip by.
Jungkook thought for a moment before finally stepping into compartment three, noticing that this one had seats whereas the other compartment didn't. He immediately claimed the seat nearest to the window, wanting to be able to see everything once they reached the top. The younger turned and watched as Seokjin securely closed the door before claiming the seat next to Hoseok, which was across from their youngest house member.
It wasn't long before the compartment jerked slightly, indicating that they were now slowly inching their way to the top. He smiled and turned his attention to the window, watching as everything on the ground slowly became smaller and smaller. "So Jungkook-ah, what did you do before you got accepted?" Hoseok suddenly spoke, the older male attempted to strike a conversation as the compartment continued to move, knowing it would be awhile until the ride finished.
The younger couldn't help but startle slightly, not expecting the older to ask such a question so suddenly. He sucked his bottom lip between his teeth as he thought about the answers to the question, knowing it probably wasn't as interesting as the two males thought it was. "Well, I didn't really do anything. You probably already know how hard it is for unmarked people to actually do anything," he began, "before coming here I shared an apartment with my best and only friend, Yoobin. I also managed to get a job at a small cafe ran by a woman named Peggy, she's a sweet woman and I'm so thankful for what she's done for me and Yoobin combined."
"She sounds lovely," Seokjin commented after the younger had finished talking, a small smile covering his lips as the male besides him nodded in agreement. "The government is harsh on us unmarked people. They've never made us sound great, so I guess you can't really blame the way people view us now." the elder continued and the younger found himself agreeing, he had never understood why the government put out a negative view on unmarked people, they were still people after all.
It went silent then and Jungkook took that opportunity to look out of the window only for his eyes to widen as he realised his compartment had finally reached the top, "wow." he breathed out in awe, gaining the other two males attention as they both turned and looked towards the window.
His eyes took in the sight greedily, everything seemed so small and far away but he could still make out some of the tall buildings that were probably successful companies and some other stores that weren't as big. His eyes flickered up towards the sky and he smiled as a flock of birds flew by, weaving in between one another as they did. The clouds were a slight grey colour and the younger hoped it wouldn't start raining until they were out of the theme park, since he didn't want the weather to ruin their day out.
