JUNGKOOK P.O.V.

Jungkook stared nervously at the knives that littered the table, blocking out his fellow students excited chatter as they all decided what two knives they wanted. The teacher had announced that before class ended they should all pick their two knives, claiming that it would make everything much easier next class which explained his current predicament, he had no clue which knives to pick.

Unlike many of the people around him, he had no knowledge whatsoever about knives, well not if you're counting the classic kitchen knives. He sighed and gently picked up one of the knives, looking at it curiously. The handle was covered in leather which was a pale shade of grey and the blade was on the bigger side, although it wasn't as wide as some of the others. "Not to be rude, but I don't think that knife matches you." he jumped and spun around, knife clutched tightly in his hand as his eyes came to rest on an amused Taehyung.

Jungkook sighed quietly and turned back around, placing the knife back down. He knew he wouldn't be able to escape this conversation so easily, "I was just looking. Not everyone has years worth of knowledge of knives, you know." he said pointedly, already knowing that the older had experience with knives.

Taehyung chuckled quietly and moved so he was stood next to the younger, looking down at the knives that were left, having already picked his ones. "I could help, you know? I know enough to know which knives suits somebody," he said, already knowing which ones he would choose if the younger agreed to let him help.

The younger thought for a moment, going through the possibilities in his head. He knew it would be easier if he had help and he knew that Taehyung was his best chance, he didn't want to ask the teacher or anyone else for help. "Fine," he muttered and watched as the older grinned, already reaching out for a knife. His eyebrows furrowed once he saw what knife it was, it was the first knife the teacher had shown them.

"I was thinking since you're rather on the short side you would be able to use this one, if you train with it properly it does do some damage. Sometimes even worse than a normal knife," he found himself nodding at Taehyung's words, "the blade is double-edged with a flattened diamond cross-section, pretty rare for a knife like that." he felt his curiosity rise at that, wondering how the older knew that much about a simple knife.

His eyes followed Taehyung's hands as the male picked up another knife, this time it was the fixation bowie. This was one of the knives that sent his nerves off, simply because of how sharp the blade looked and how clumsy he was prone to be. "This one also because of the same reason, I saw your balance when it was your turn to fight. You're light on your feet too," Taehyung paused, a thoughtful look spreading across his face. "the handle is made from kraton and the sheath is made from nylon, also rare for these knives."

"How do you know all that?" Jungkook asked, unable to stop the question from leaving his lips, he knew it would only bother him if he didn't ask. He watched as Taehyung stopped writing for a moment before he continued, "let's just say my parents left things laying around and I had spare time on my hands." and he couldn't help but feel like the older males words had a double meaning, confusing him even more.

Jungkook sighed as he walked sluggishly through the doorway, struggling with keeping his eyes open as he toed his shoes off. He had felt weirdly drained after lunch and it only seemed to have gotten worse during his last classes, to the point in which he struggled even keeping his eyes open and he was pretty sure he had accidentally fallen asleep a couple of times too.

He knew he wasn't getting enough sleep but he didn't think it was enough to have him feeling drained like he currently felt, he had never felt like this before. A yawn tore from him as he stumbled into the kitchen, not sparing a glance at the others sitting around the kitchen. He was going to get something to eat and then he was going to sleep, hopefully until the next morning.
