JUNGKOOK P.O.V.

"Hyung, what about this one?" Yoobin asks, holding up a very pink and very glittery notebook covered in hearts. Jungkook is quick to shake his head, there's no way he would be able to use that at school, not without someone teasing him. Although he does have to admit, it's very cute and definitely something he would have bought himself randomly.

Today was August 31st, a day before his birthday and his official first day at Divinity. Yoobin had decided that today they would be shopping for the schooling supplies Jungkook needed and also celebrate his birthday a day early, knowing they wouldn't have the time to celebrate it on the actual day.

Yoobin pouts and shakes the notebook, glitter falling from it and onto the ground, as well as covering his hands and clothes. "But it's so cute! I know you like things like this," his best friend protests, making puppy eyes as he holds the notebook out, silently begging and hoping Jungkook would agree to get it.

"Fine, put it in." Jungkook said, gesturing towards the cart already half way filled with junk food and half of the schooling supplies that were needed.

They walked around the store for another half hour before finally deeming themselves finished and Jungkook was incredibly grateful for that, his feet were starting to ache from the amount of walking Yoobin had made him do.

"I wonder what it'll be like. You promise to say in contact, right? Because if you don't," Yoobin pauses as he heaves a bag into the trunk of his car, "I'll be marching right to that school of yours."

Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully but said nothing, instead getting sucked into his thoughts as he climbed into the car, letting his best friend finish putting the bags into the trunk.

Despite Yoobin being much younger than himself, he had already been able to get his drivers license, and it only took him about a month or so to do so, also a perk of being marked. Jungkook had tried getting his drives licence on many occasions, only to be told that he had failed one way or another. It was only when his best friend had successfully completed his tests and had received his license that he had been lied to, he had never failed. It was simply because he was an unmarked.

He sighed and shook his head, brushing the thoughts back into the depths of his mind. Now wasn't the time to feel sorry for himself, this was his and Yoobins day and he would be damned if he let his thoughts ruin the day for him.

Looking out of the window he was mildly surprised to see that they were almost home, that didn't take long at all.

Jungkook looked at his roommate with a look of pure and utter betrayal over his face, his nose scrunched up cutely as he listened to the nonsense his roommate was sprouting.

"Captain America did nothing wrong! He was looking at things logically, something Iron Man didn't do, and has never done!" Yoobin shouted, dramatically pointing towards the TV screen, that was paused.

Both had decided to have an avengers marathon, something they have done ever since they can remember. Yoobin had ultimately decided that it would be fun to relive old memories, and of course have the same argument about civil war that they always seemed to have while watching this particular movie. It was obvious that Yoobin was a Captain America fan, while Jungkook preferred Iron Man.

"That's a lie and you know it! Steve only wants to save the winter soldier!" Jungkook seethed, furiously pointing towards the TV, they had paused the movie right on Captain America. "Well, wouldn't you do the same? He's hot!" his best friend threw back at him, referring to his over the top crush on Bucky Barnes.

Jungkook reeled back, almost in disgust. "Hell no! Spider-man forever!" he countered, crossing his arms as he watched as Yoobin huffed and roughly grabbed the bowl of popcorn, shoveling some into his mouth, a sign that he was definitely sulking. Jungkook sighed and rolled his eyes, a small smile appearing on his lips.

He would truly miss moments like this with his best friend, and he hoped Yoobin would be alright with him gone, they had never really been separated for more than a day. Although now they would be separated for a couple of months, until a holiday came up and he would be allowed to go back home for a few days.

"What're you thinking about hyung? I can practically see the wheels turning inside your head," Yoobin said teasingly, snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts. Although this time, he voiced his thoughts out loud instead of brushing them away. "Are you sure you're going to be okay? I can stay if you want me to."

Yoobin wad quick to shake his head, dismissing the entire idea. "I'll be fine hyung, promise. You've been waiting for an opportunity like this for ages, it's your time to prove that just because you're an unmarked doesn't mean people have a right to treat you differently. Show them that unmarked people can do the exact same things as marked people can!" Jungkook smiled at that, he was glad to have a friend in Yoobin.

He was one of the few reasons Jungkook had managed to get through this, stopped him from giving in and ending it right there. He truly was thankful for everything Yoobin had done for him and hoped that one day he would be able to thank him properly.

Update? Yes!

I haven't been outside in little over a month...I wonder what daylight feels like.

Jungkook will finally arrive at the school in the next chapter, and maybe meet a soulmate or two.
