-ADHARA YAWNED AND STRETCHED AS SHE WOKE UP IN HER DORM, WHICH SHE WAS SHARING WITH PANSY. She stood up, took a shower, got dressed, and walked out of her dorm to the common room, where Draco was waiting for her.

Draco's eyes lightened up when he saw his sister. "Ready for the first day?" He asked as they walked out of the common room and started walking to the great hall.

"Not like I have a choice." Adhara pointed out and rolled her eyes.

Draco frowned slightly. "You'll be okay. I'll make sure of it."

Adhara gave him an 'are you serious?' look, making his lips twitch slightly. "I think I can take care of myself."

"I never said you can't. In fact, I know you can, you've proven it since we were babies."

"That was one time!"

"You pushed me onto the ground because I tried helping you get up when you fell. I don't think I can ever let that go, Ara." He pointed out, trying not to laugh at the memory.

Adhara pursed her lips, also trying not to laugh, as they walked over to the Slytherin table, sitting down next to Pansy and Blaise. "Morning." Pansy mumbled to her, looking sleepy.

"Morning, Pansy." Adhara mumbled back, piling some pancakes and bacon onto her plate and pouring herself a glass of pumpkin juice.

"Let's just walk over to her." Harry whispered to his bestfriends, their eyes never leaving the new Slytherin girl.

"Harry, mate. Are you feeling alright?" Ron asked, looking at Harry as if he had grown two heads.

Harry shrugged, "Of course. Why?"

"Because that's the Slytherin table!"

"And?"

Ron blinked a few times, mouth agape. "We're Gryffindors." He said, as if it explained everything, which it did.

"Oh. I forgot." Harry mumbled, scratching his neck sheepishly.

"Honestly," Hermione frowned. "She's not even pretty."

"Adhara?" Ron asked in shock. Hermione immediately shook her head. "I meant Parkinson. What does she even see in her?"

"They're not dating, 'Mione. I think someone's jealous." Harry teased, making her flush in embarrassment.

"I'm not-"

"Whatever you say, 'Mione. Whatever you say."

"Welcome everyone!" Professor Sirius Black exclaimed, as he and the other Defense Against the Dark arts professor, James Potter, walked into the classroom

"Welcome everyone!" Professor Sirius Black exclaimed, as he and the other Defense Against the Dark arts professor, James Potter, walked into the classroom. "Today you will be duelling."

"Firstly, who'd like to demonstrate with me?" James asked, expectantly looking at the students, his eyes stopping at a girl who was subtly glaring at them both. "How about you, Ms. Black?"

"Malfoy." She immediately corrected, her glare becoming harsher.

Sirius' shoulders slumped as he frowned sadly, but she paid him no mind as she stood up, her wand in her hand. "We bow." James said, trying not to gulp at her even more intense glare.

"I don't bow." She boredly replied, ignoring the gasps from a few students.

James blinked a couple of times and shared a look with his bestfriend, who was proud slightly but hiding it, "Miss Black-"

"She said 'Malfoy'. Are you deaf, Professor?" Draco snapped, frowning in anger.

"Detention, Mr. Malfoy." Sirius stated, making him roll his eyes.

"Anyways," James said, trying to get the situation under control. "It is a step in a duel to bow, Miss Bla- Malfoy."

"I don't bow, Professor." She calmly replied, got in a defensive pose, and expectantly looked at him.

James pursed his lips and started shooting a few disarming spells, immediately getting shocked at how quick and effortlessly she dodged it.

He looked at her for a few seconds, making her raise an eyebrow. He cleared his throat awkwardly and shot even more spells, making her roll her eyes in boredom as she dodged every single spell and even managed to get a few ones in.

A few minutes later, James, who was on the ground, stood up and held out a hand for his wand, which was in her hand.

"Everyone find a partner and start duelling." Sirius ordered. The students all did as he instructed.

Adhara twirled James' wand in his fingers, "You just lost to a thirteen year old, how does it feel, professor?" She whispered with a mocking smile.

"I feel proud." He calmly replied with a gentle smile, making her frown. "My bestfriend's daughter is powerful and she knows it."

Adhara's face turned from a mocking look to rage, "I am not his daughter." She said through gritted teeth and threw his wand to him. "And I never will be."

None of them realized the other man listening in and eyes tearing up slightly. He'd do anything to be accepted as her father, even if he just found out that he had a child, but it seemed like she'd do anything to make the exact opposite happen.
