"Adoptive Father VS Biological Father"
-"GOOD EVENING, MISS BLACK-MALFOY." DUMBLEDORE GREETED WITH HIS USUAL GRANDFATHERLY SMILE, AS THE GIRL HE JUST CALLED INTO HIS OFFICE WALKED IN. "I request that you call me Malfoy instead, headmaster." Adhara said, sitting in the chair he motioned for her to sit at.
"Ah," Dumbledore nodded understandingly. "I deeply apologize, Ms. Malfoy."
The door opened, and in came Sirius Black, making Adhara roll her eyes, now knowing what was happening.
She was right when Dumbledore said, "Your father requested to talk to you in private."
"He did?" Adhara asked and pulled out her necklace, holding the crystal for a few seconds.
"Ara? Everything alright?" Lucius asked worriedly, through the necklace.
"Yes, father." Adhara replied, her eyes never leaving Dumbledore's, who was looking a bit amused. "I was told that you requested to talk?"
"Talk?" Lucius asked in confusion. "No, I didn't request that, darling."
"Hm," Adhara said thoughtfully, "Then I'm done here, headmaster.p
Sirius cleared his throat. "He meant me, Adhara."
"Is that-?" Lucius asked, earning a "Yes." from his daughter. The floo roared, alerting everyone in the room, and in came out Lucius wearing a suit, frowning deeply.
Adhara grinned, knowing what was going to happen.
"Black." Lucius acknowledged stiffly, glaring coldly at the man infront of him.
Sirius pursed his lips. "Malfoy."
Lucius tilted his head slightly, looking at him for a few seconds, and smirked at what he was about to do. He looked at his daughter, who was looking like she was enjoying the show. "How's my daughter?" He asked, emphasizing the 'my' on purpose.
Adhara smirked, "Your daughter is quite well, only father of mine." She replied, also emphasizing the 'your' and 'only'.
Sirius frowned and his shoulders slumped. He really wanted to talk to his daughter, but it seemed like she wouldn't let him. He just wanted to explain everything to her, but she didn't even care by now. Or atleast, that's what it looked like.
Lucius smiled slightly, making the two men do a double-take. "Then I believe you won't be going back to Beauxbatons anytime soon?" He teased.
Adhara looked thoughtful. "I don't think so."
Lucius nodded and looked at Dumbledore, his smile almost immediately vanishing and turning into a glare. "If my daughter doesn't want to do something like talking to-" he turned his head to the frowning man, "-him." And looked back at Dumbledore, "Then if I hear that somebody forced her to do so, not only will you get sued, but trust me, Albus, you won't live to see the light of day again."
Dumbledore raised his eyebrows at his threat, but still smiled slightly. "I'll keep that in mind, Lucius."
Lucius almost sneered, but held himself back. He gave his daughter a smile and nod, which she returned, and walked back to the floo. He glared at Sirius one last time before flooing back home.
"Well. Goodbye, headmaster." Adhara said, not paying a glance to her biological father, who was looking at her with so much longing that most portraits started to feel bad for him, and walked out of the room.
"Adhara!" Harry Potter shouted, trying to catch up to the said girl, who was walking way too fast.
Adhara took a few deep breathes to calm herself down. "Make it quick, Potter."
Harry nodded as they stopped, and looked around, glad that nobody was there. "Please give Sirius a chance to talk-"
"Fuck off." She snapped and walked away, but he wouldn't let her go so easily.
"Look," He continued, "I swear on my magic that Sirius never knew he had a daughter."
Adhara frowned, looking alarmed, and stopped walking, looking at him expectantly. Her eyes widened and she sucked in a sharp breath at his successful 'lumos'.
"No.." she whispered in denial, "He knew. He left."
"Adhara. "he frowned sympathetically, now knowing why the girl was so bitter to them. "I just risked my magic. I would've now been a squib if Sirius knew he had a daughter. You've got to believe me-"
"Stop it, Potter!" She snapped desperately, trying not to show any emotions. "He knew."
"You and I both know that he didn't know."
Adhara opened and closed her mouth a few times, knowing that he was right, but refused to believe it. "Leave. Me. Alone." She hissed in anger instead.
Harry didn't even flinch. He felt extreme pity for the girl. He knew she believed that her father had left her for thirteen years, so it was hard for her to realize that she believed something to be false her whole life.
Having a family was one of the things he was most grateful for. Especially since that fateful night in when Voldemort stunned both of his parents and tried to kill him, but accidentally killed himself, making family even more important to Harry.
"Please." She practically begged, her voice cracking slightly towards the end, and left.
Harry sighed and walked away, letting her be for now.
