"Another Full Moon"
-IT WAS NOW THE NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON, MEANING THAT THE THREE KIDS WERE ALONE WITH ONLY ONE ADULT. Lily smiled fondly as Harry and Adhara started bickering, while Hermione was watching them in amusement.
"Wow! Can you be even more threatening?" Harry questioned sarcastically.
Adhara glared at him. "I will paint my nails with your blood."
Harry paled as he looked at his mother for help. Lily rolled her eyes fondly as she sat down, "Let's all just do something fun, alright?" She joined in.
"When's your birthday, Addie?" Harry asked, relaxing as he laid down on the couch.
Adhara stayed quiet, frowning when everybody looked at her, "I'm not going to say when my bloody birthday is."
"Why not, sweetheart?" Lily asked, looking confused.
"Because it's not important." Adhara replied with shrug, rolling her eyes when they looked at her in pity, "I meant that it's not important because i've celebrated it this year, not because that i've been born. Merlin's beard."
"Phew." Harry said. "I didn't want to get depressed."
"When is your birthday?" Hermione repeated, "Literally none of us know yours."
Adhara shrugged, "July first."
"That was twenty-one days ago." Lily concluded, frowning.
Adhara stood up and started looking at the picture frames, "What is this disgusting ball of wriggling flesh? How ugly." She pointed to one of them.
Harry grinned. "That's me. When I was a baby."
Adhara looked him dead in the eye. Then, she replied, "You just made it uglier with one sentence."
"Don't go." Hermione murmured sleepily as Adhara tried getting out of bed.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, my love."
"Why?" Hermione opened her eyes and gave a little pout.
Adhara smiled and pecked her on the lips, "I've got to check on Re- I just need some water." She quickly corrected herself. She didn't want to show that she cared. Not yet, anyway.
Hermione knew what she was going to say, so she just nodded and closed her eyes again, while Adhara stood up and walked out of the room.
She walked through the many hallways and stopped at the hospital room. It was made for Remus after his rough full moons. The room was filled with grey furniture and a grey bed in the middle, due to Remus having sensitive eyesight during his full moons.
Adhara sighed as she opened the door and walked in, "Are you alright?" She questioned, frowning at the many wounds.
Remus nodded and smiled. "Yes, I am."
"You don't look alright. Did the wolfsbane not work or something?" Adhara questioned as she pulled up her sleeves.
"It did. However, a werewolf still has sadistic needs."
She frowned, but didn't reply as she started healing him, making him flinch in pain. "Sorry." She mumbled, knowing how much it must hurt.
"You don't have to do this, Addie." Remus pointed out, watching as his wounds faded away.
"No matter how much I hate you," Adhara started, but they both knew that she didn't actually hate him, "You make my dad happy."
They both stopped what they were doing as they stared at each other in shock. "Don't tell him I called him that." She immediately said.
Remus nodded with a wide smile. "Of course not."
They stayed in silence for the next ten minutes as Adhara kept on healing him. "Done." She mumbled and stood up, conjuring a glass of water for him by his bedside. "Erm - Goodnight." She said, making Remus laugh at her awkwardness.
As Adhara walked to the door, she stopped when she noticed Sirius standing there, "How long have you been standing there?"
"Since the start." Sirius replied, not looking away from his daughter who was trying to avoid his eyes.
She nodded and tried rushing out of the room, but he was faster as he pulled her into a hug, making her freeze for a second. "Thank you." He mumbled against her hair.
Adhara didn't reply as she slowly started to hug back, unknowingly making the man almost start crying happy tears.
