-HERMIONE STAYED IN THE HOSPITAL WING THAT NIGHT. More specifically, she stayed on a chair next to Adhara's bed, never letting go of Adhara's hand. Not even once.

She bolted awake when she heard someone gasp. "Parkinson." Hermione touched her heart immediately, trying to calm down her fast heartbeat. "You scared me."

Pansy ignored her, horrified eyes on Adhara the whole time. Blaise put a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down, but his own brows were furrowed in worry.

"How is she?" He turned to Hermione, who had bags under her eyes and looked like she barely slept.

Which she didn't. She hadn't fallen asleep almost the whole night, trying to stay awake just incase Adhara woke up.

Hermione turned to the girl, whose hand she was holding. The dried blood on Adhara's face was gone, and her broken wrist was fixed and bandaged up. The same went for her broken legs.

"Better, I guess." She finally replied, uncertain.

"We heard about what happened. We just came to check up on her." Pansy finally talked, her eyes never moving from the unconscious girl. "It's worse than we thought."

Hermione swallowed and nodded. She noted the way Pansy's eyes dropped to their hands, giving her a small smile. "Atleast she's being cared for well," continued Pansy.

Hermione slowly smiled back, despite the situation. She wanted peace. That was all.

"Visitors shouldn't be here!" exclaimed Madam Pomfrey to Blaise and Pansy as she rushed to accept the many vials of healing potions from Severus Snape, who had just walked in with a box full of them.

Blaise and Pansy gave one last look at their friend, then left reluctantly.

"You are neglecting your headgirl duties and your classes," pointed out Severus Snape as he walked over to the bed that had his goddaughter in it. He glanced at her, then clenched his jaw and looked away immediately.

"I cannot focus on anything else right now, sir." Hermione said, her eyes never leaving Adhara. She wanted nothing more than the girl opening her eyes.

Snape didn't reply. Instead, he left the hospital wing. But before he was fully gone, he turned to Madam Pomfrey and asked quietly, "She is going to be well?"

Madam Pomfrey nodded. "Thanks to the potions you have made, she is going to heal in no time."

Snape nodded in satisfaction and left fully.

Madam Pomfrey immediately went over to Adhara and poured a few of the potions down her throat. "Blood replenishing potion," she explained when she noticed Hermione's curious look.

"Oh," muttered Hermione. She should've known that by the color.

When the healer was done, her eyes stopped on the intwined hands of the girls. Madam Pomfrey looked at Hermione, a smile slowly overtaking her face. "Do not lose her, Ms. Granger."

The young girl pursed her lips, trying to stop herself from breaking down. She had already lost her, hadn't she?

"She only calls for you." Madam Pomfrey pointed out before leaving the two girls be, needing Adhara to get some rest before she could give her some other healing potions.
