-IT WAS RAINING. Hermione had her eyes on the window, her hand still holding Adhara's. She had just eaten for the first time that day, and that was only because Harry had practically forced her to after visiting Adhara with Draco.

Of course, Madam Pomfrey kicked them both out after ten minutes.

Adhara groggily opened her eyes, immediately shielding her eyes with an arm from the bright lights, alerting Hermione she was awake.

Hermione stood up from her chair and gasped. With tears in her eyes, she said, "Addie, you're awake. I've been here the entire time."

"What happened?" Adhara asked, groaning in pain as she touched her head.

"Alyssa Nott made you fall off your broom with a spell. You broke both your legs, your wrist, and your nose and head have been bleeding nonstop."

Adhara let out another groan of pain. That explained it.

   "She got expelled."

Well, atleast she was gone, thought Adhara as she tried to sit up. She stopped, though, when she realized her hand in Hermione's. She immediately let go and cleared her dry throat. "Sorry."

Hermione shook her head. "You kept calling for me," she whispered, hope in her voice.

Adhara frowned in confusion. She didn't remember anything. "I did?"

The girl infront of her nodded, wiping away the tear that fell. "How do you feel?"

"I don't know," whispered Adhara in confusion, closing her eyes. "My body's really tired, but it's more than that. My head hurts and so does my wrist. I'm scared to even move my legs."

"I'm sorry, Addie." Hermione said comfortingly, taking the girl's hand again and holding it.

Adhara opened her eyes, looking at their hands. "And seeing you here, knowing now that I called for you the entire time... it's a comfort but also a reminder of what I lost."

Hermione shook her head, taking the hand she was holding and kissing it softly. "You haven't lost me, Adhara." She said truthfully. "We just need to figure things out for ourselves at the moment. But I'll find my way back to you, I promise. Trust my promise, please."

"I do," replied Adhara immediately, wincing at the pain she felt. But at that moment, when Hermione squeezed her hand in comfort, she forgot all about the pain. "Stay with me until I'm healed, will you?"

Hermione's lips quirked upwards. "Of course, Addie. Of course, I will."

The moment was ruined by Madam Pomfrey rushing over to them with a vial in her hand. She exclaimed, "Ah, you're finally awake! Drink this, Ms. Black-Malfoy."

Adhara did as she asked, immediately grimacing at the horrible taste. "That tastes foul!" She exclaimed in disgust, trying not to gag after she was done.

"A foul taste for one moment or dealing with two broken legs and a wrist?" Madam Pomfrey immediately shot back before rushing away to get a wet rag.

Hermione let out a laugh, but immediately covered it with a cough.

Adhara turned to glare at her with no real intensity behind it. "Amused, Mia?" She asked in a hoarse voice, wanting nothing more than a cup of water.

Hermione smiled and let go of her hand, her smile widening when Adhara reached out for her hand again. "I'm getting you a cup of water," she pointed out as she stood up, taking a glass out of the cupboards and taking out her wand. "Aguamenti."

When given the glass of water, Adhara put it to her lips and drank it. She let out a sigh of relief and turned to look at the girl. "You didn't have to be here for me, Hermione. You have classes and head girl duties." She pointed out with a look.

Hermione waved a hand in dismissal. "Nothing is more important than you and your well-being, Addie."

The girl swallowed, every emotion passing through her eyes. She held Hermione's hand again, looking at her in the eyes. "We will go back to being nothing and ignoring each other after I'm healed, won't we?" She asked, her voice cracking.

Hermione reluctantly nodded, squeezing the hand she was holding. "Just until we find ourselves, Addie. It was your idea in the first place." She said, then added, "A great idea, in fact. The next time we get in a relationship, I want us to be healthy and loving. And that will only happen if we become the healthiest version of ourselves."

Adhara couldn't argue with that. Hermione was right and mature in what she was saying and pointing out.

Instead, Adhara merely held onto Hermione's hand tighter and closed her eyes. "Let me enjoy your hand in mine for now, then. Let me live what I dream about every night."
