"Potions"
-IT WAS THE NEXT WEEK, THE THIRD YEAR SLYTHERINS AND GRYFFINDORS WERE NOW IN POTIONS CLASS. Adhara had stuck to ignoring the Potters and her biological father, much to their dismay, and started becoming really good friends with Pansy.
Right now, she was making a potion with her older brother. Severus Snape, her godfather, (chosen by Narcissa and Lucius when they first adopted her.) , didn't even bat an eyelash at how good their potion was turning out. He was used to it by now, since he always came over for dinner at holidays and would make potions with Draco and Adhara.
"And stir three times clockwise," Draco instructed, not looking up from his book. They were creating a potion that was an antidote to uncommon poisons.
"Alright." Adhara mumbled and did as he instructed. "Add four measures of bezoar powder."
Draco nodded and added it. "Then?" He asked, as he was too lazy to look back at his book again.
Adhara looked up from her book and nodded in satisfaction at how the potion was getting together. "One pinch of Unicorn horn and stir two times clockwise."
While they were busy with their potion, on the other side of the classroom, two boys were too busy looking at them, which was the reason for why this had happened-
The whole class jumped as a huge potion accident happened.
"Potter!" Snape seethed and walked up to them, "What is the meaning of this?!"
"The meaning is that I wasn't paying attention." Harry sassed. He immediately cringed when he realized what he said. He looked around the classroom and saw that the Gryffindors were looking at him in awe while the Slytherins were looking at him like he was dumb, because of him not paying attention or because he just sassed their head of house, Harry didn't know.
"Fourty points from Gryffindor, Potter." Snape said, his voice laced with venom. "And detention for a month. You too, Weasley."
"I didn't even do anything except blow up the potion-!"
"Exactly."
"Miss Malfoy and Mister Potter, stay here." Snape said as the bell rang.
"Go on without me. I'll be there soon." Adhara told her brother, who nodded and walked out of the room with Blaise.
As the students walked out of the classroom, Adhara and Harry walked over to Snape's desk. When they were all out, he finally started speaking, "Mister Potter, since you are so bad at Potions-"
"You're just a horrible teacher."
"-I will be assigning a student to tutor you." Snape finished, ignoring his cheeky remark and looked at Adhara, who was looking horrified as she knew what would happen next. "Ara, since you are the best at Potions, you will be his tutor."
"No!" She immediately exclaimed. "Sev, you and I both know that Draco's better than me at Potions."
"I don't need anymore potion accidents, which I'm sure will happen if Draco tutors him."
Harry looked offended, but stayed quiet. I will not be wasting my time tutoring a Potter." She spat out the last name as if it was poison, making Harry give her a look of disbelief and offense, which she ignored.
Snape smirked slightly, making Harry do a double-take. "Then you should not have done what you did two years ago."
"I was a child, Sev!"
"You were eleven. The dye didn't come off for weeks."
Adhara smirked. "Pink hair suited you." She merely replied, making Harry snort in shock, awe, and confusion.
Snape glared at her with no real intensity behind it. "Ara, you'll be tutoring him and that's final."
"Oh honestly, such a great godfather you are." She said sarcastically. Harry choked on his own saliva. Godfather?! Snape?!
They both ignored him. "Ara, please." Snape said, shocking Harry yet again.
"What did I do for this to happen to me?" She grumbled.
Snape frowned slightly. "Nothing. Why?"
"Then why are you punishing me?! Please, Sev. Tell Draco to do it." She practically begged, not paying a glance to the frowning Harry.
"No."
"What?!" Ron asked in shock as Harry explained what had happened to his father, Sirius, Remus, and bestfriends.
"She's going to tutor you?" Hermione asked, sitting up straighter, earning a nod from Harry.
"Hold on- Snivellus is my daughter's godfather?!" Sirius asked, looking appalled.
"That's the only thing you get, Padfoot?" Remus asked back, giving his husband a look.
"Priorities, Moony!" James and Sirius said simultaneously, making Remus groan.
"Yes. Snape's her godfather. And yes, she's tutoring me. You should've seen her face when Snape told her that she'd tutor me. She looked like she'd kill me any second." Harry explained, shuddering.
"I should've been godfather." James grumbled bitterly.
Sirius looked at him in pity, "I would've made you godfather if I knew I had a daughter, Prongs."
"You guys are still on that?!"
"Priorities!"
