"Longing and Missing"
-ADHARA WAS IN THE LIBRARY. She was reading a book, but her eyes weren't following the words. Instead, her eyes were on the table infront of her, while she was deep in thought.
She hadn't talked to Hermione for so long.
Pansy was busy with her girlfriend. Which Adhara was happy about for the girl, but it didn't make her stop missing her bestfriend.
And Draco was busy with Harry. Almost always.
Blaise, the only person not busy, sat down infront of Adhara in the library, catching her attention. "What's got your wand in a knot?" He questioned, noticing her look.
She snapped out of it and shook her head, muttering, "Nothing."
He let it go reluctantly, then pointed to the book she was holding. "What's it about?"
"I don't even know," replied Adhara honestly, having not read more than two pages. She looked at him in suspicion. "Why aren't you busy with a girl or something?"
"Maybe I want to be busy with a guy," shot back Blaise with a grin that grew wider when she chuckled.
He continued, "Besides, Ara, you seem down nowadays. Draco's been worried."
She shrugged. She knew he was worried. She always noticed his concerned looks and his constant frown of worry.
"I'm fine," she lied and stood up, putting the book in her bag. "I've got to finish an assignment. I left it in my dorm room. I'll see you in the common room, yeah?"
He nodded.
As Adhara stepped out of the library, she made her way to the dungeons to get the assignment she had to finish writing.
But her mind was not on the assignment. Not at all. Her mind was on a girl with bushy hair, and gorgeous brown eyes. As usual, Adhara's mind was on Hermione.
What else was new?
She missed Hermione.
She missed waking up with the girl in her arms. She missed inhaling her scent, and kissing her forehead every morning. She missed holding her, comforting her, and loving her.
She missed everything that had to do with her.
Adhara felt the constant regret eating her away, down to her bones. She felt her mistakes following her with every step she took, every breath she took, and every second that passed.
She was so deep in thought, she didn't even notice bumping into someone. She snapped out of it when she did and looked at the books on the floor, immediately crouching down and helping the girl pick it up.
"Bloody hell. I apologize, I didn't notice you -" she stopped, rolling her eyes when she realized who it was. She stood up with the books she picked up in her hands. Instead of passing them over to her, she dropped them all onto the floor.
Alyssa Nott's mouth dropped open in outrage. "How dare you!" She seethed, shooting her a glare as she started picking them all up.
"How dare I? Quite easily, actually." Adhara responded sarcastically and left.
"You're going to regret this!"
Adhara merely rolled her eyes again. She seemed to be rolling her eyes quite often, but it was not her fault. The people around her were getting on her nerves.
