"Godsiblings"
-ADHARA GASPED FOR AIR WHEN SHE WOKE UP FROM YET ANOTHER NIGHTMARE. It wasn't unusual for her to have nightmares of blood anymore, but it was still annoying and she couldn't handle it.
"-Ara?"
Adhara snapped out of her thoughts, looking up from her hands. "Did I wake you? I'm sorry, Pans."
Pansy shook her head and walked over to her, sitting next to her on her bed. Concern was etched across her face as she asked, "Ara, are you alright? Nightmares again?"
Adhara nodded, not saying anything.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Pansy, worry evident in her voice as she ran her hands through Adhara's silky hair.
Adhara almost nodded, but then shook her head and stood up. "No. I'll go take a walk. I'm sorry for waking you again."
"It's alright. Be safe."
Adhara walked onto the last step of the Astronomy Tower, then immediately turned around when she saw somebody there; Harry Potter.
"You don't have to go." said Harry, who noticed her.
The girl sighed and turned back around, walking towards him and standing next to him.
Harry tried not letting his shock show at that. He hadn't expected her to actually stay, so maybe this would be a chance for him to fix things. "Why are you awake?"
"Nightmares. You?"
"Same."
Adhara looked at the stars, finding comfort in them. "What did you have a nightmare about?"
"A green light coming towards me. I don't even know why I'm scared of it-"
"The killing curse." interrupted Adhara knowingly.
Harry looked confused. "What?"
"Green light. The killing curse is a green light. When hit with the killing curse, your soul forcefully gets ripped from your body. It's highly painful for a few seconds at first, but it goes away in no time. However, not as painful as the cruciatus curse."
Harry's eyes widened in shock. "Addie, how do you even know that information?"
"The dark arts intrigue me." shrugged Adhara as if it was nothing, then looked at him.
The boy tried not to frown at the bags under her eyes and the fact that she looked so tired for some reason. Almost as if she didn't get enough sleep. "And the stars relax you?"
"Yes. The stars relax me. It relaxes my whole family. Both the Malfoys and Blacks."
Harry's lips twitched upwards. "You called the Blacks your family."
Adhara sighed. "No matter how hard I try, I'm always a Black to some. I've tried my whole life to be seen as a Malfoy- my real family- but nobody forgets my Black heritage."
"Right." nodded the boy understandingly. "Do you.. do you want to talk about it?"
"About what?"
"What happened, Addie?" asked Harry the question his whole family and his godfather wanted to know so much. "What changed you?"
Adhara stayed quiet, but Harry noticed that she was on the verge of opening up.
"Look, I know I'm not your real brother- not like Draco-but whenever I look at you, I see a sister. Not my godsister. I see a real sister, even if you don't want that, Addie. I'm here for you."
Adhara's lips twitched, much to her dismay. "Don't make me start liking you, Potter."
"It'd be a break from the hate you've given me for... how many years again?" asked Harry teasingly.
"Sixteen years."
"Damn, your whole life? Oh, come on, your heart needs a break from that much hate."
"My heart doesn't survive without hate."
"Oh, is that why you hate literally everyone?"
Adhara pushed him side-ways, earning a laugh from the boy. "Shut up."
He didn't miss the small smile she had, though. "So, am I forgiven?"
"You haven't done anything wrong, Potter." Adhara rolled her eyes.
She tried slapping his hand away when he gave her a side-hug, but only got a cheeky grin in reply, making her groan.
