-IT WAS NOW YULE BREAK. The surprising thing was Harry was spending it with the Malfoys, meeting his boyfriend's parents. The unsurprising thing, however, was Adhara didn't even spare anyone a glance as she rushed to her room.

She shut the door harshly and started unpacking.

The knocking of the door made her sigh and look up. "Come in."

Narcissa walked in with a concerned look. "Ara, are you alright?"

"Yes, mother."

Her mother gave her a knowing look as she sat down on her bed elegantly. "You don't seem alright. You look way too angry for a normal teen."

Adhara rolled her eyes, ignoring her.

"Ara, don't ignore me." Narcissa sighed sadly. "I just want to make sure if my daughter is alright."

"Your daughter's fine. Stop insisting she's not."

Narcissa stayed quiet for a few minutes until she whispered sadly, "What happened to my sarcastic, loving daughter?"

That's all it took for Adhara's eyes to tear up. She made eye-contact with her mother and replied, "She grew up."

Her mother shook her head sadly and walked over to her, pulling her into a comforting hug and kissing her head. "She didn't have to. Not so soon."

"She had no choice."

Narcissa sighed. "I know, darling. I know."

"Did mother and father like you?" asked Adhara the next day when Harry walked into the living room, where she was reading a book

"Did mother and father like you?" asked Adhara the next day when Harry walked into the living room, where she was reading a book.

"Honestly? I don't even know."

"They do." Draco rolled his eyes as they sat down on the couch in front of Adhara. "Father just wants to intimidate you."

"Well, it's working." mumbled Harry, which made Adhara shake her head and go back to her reading.

   "-and it's just that I

"-and it's just that I.." Hermione stopped in the middle of her rambling.

She was at the burrow, talking to Ginny, who was listening to every word she was saying and even giving her advice when she knew the girl needed it.

"Go on, Mione. I won't judge." Ginny assured her, flipping through her quidditch magazine.

"I love her."

Ginny's head snapped up, her eyes widening with shock. "Mione, that's wonderful!"

"It would've been if she loved me back."

The younger girl frowned, then looked like she was in thought. "You said you guys fought, right?" She asked, continuing when Hermione nodded, "Send her a letter. Tell her to meet up with you at a restaurant or something and just talk things out. Have you ever thought of hearing her side of the story?"

"What do you mean?"

"Mione, you literally took someone else as your date for the party. Even though you were with Adhara."

Hermione frowned in thought. "I didn't realize she'd be mad about that."

"Of course she'd be mad! Heck, I know I would." Ginny rolled her eyes. "Anyway, you should really just try to talk it out. Hear her out."

   "This came for you

"This came for you." said Draco as he walked into his sister's room, giving her a letter.

Adhara took it from his hands and opened it,

'Addie,
Meet me at the cafe in Diagon Alley tommorow at 4pm.
-Hermione.'

Adhara immediately sighed when she finished reading it and put it away. "Tell mother and father that I might not be home tomorrow."

Her brother nodded. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it and shook his head, walking out of her room wordlessly.
