Brianna was breathing heavy as she paced down the court.
It was literally 30 seconds left on the clock and she made the final basket just in time.
"Yes!" Brianna jumped up as her teammates swarmed her and lifted her up.
She looked to the bleachers and as usual her family was in the stands wearing her number. Number three just like her cousin 'Big Mike' . It was the final game in the season and they had just won it.
Brianna smiled.
One thing about her family is they were big on showing up and showing out. It had been a while since they had all made it to the game but she looked and there they all were. It was nearly 25 of them. Brianna waved to her parents, little brother, aunts, uncle and cousins as they screamed in the stands.
Brianna looked but didnt see Demarcus.
She thought it was strange since they normally showed up at each other's games.
Demarcus was her boyfriend and they had been dating for the last year.
He was handsome of course. He was black and Cuban with curly hairy. He wasn't the type she was normally into but he was funny, spoke Spanish and enjoyed basket ball as much as her. Standing 6'4 he was the star player at their university.
Brianna was every bit as talented maybe even more but since she was a female player she noticed she wasn't as celebrated as him.
She stood 5'9 with a medium frame. Brianna was the only full Hispanic person in her family so she looked nothing like her adopted melanated parents. Her long hair that she normally pulled back was wavy and easy to straighten. She was also fairly light unless it was summer Brianna normally had olive tinted skin.
Brianna made her way to her family after her teammates lowered her.
"Hey Bri." Romeo her little brother jumped into her arms.
He had medium brown skin with dimple on his right cheek. Her parents normally kept his cut short like their father even thought he was adamant on having braids lately.
"Hey baby man." She hugged him.
Although the two had a large age gap between them they were still close. Brianna loved her baby brother and it was the same for him.
"You did soo good." Her mother Latisha aka Laylay told her hugging her.
Laylay hadn't aged since the day Brianna had come to their home. She was a beautiful brown skin goddess who normally kept her hair cut short or in braids. Over the years she stayed fit normally. when Brianna went to practice Laylay would normally hit the gym with her and as she got older the two had gym time together that was until Brianna was always on campus instead of home.
"Thanks ma." Brianna hugged her back before letting Romeo down.
She looked over to see her father walking over proudly. She smiled because He had done that after every game. No matter if she won or lost it was rare she did but no matter what he looked happy.
"What's up baby girl?" Trey hugged her.
"I did good?" She smiled.
"Now you know you did. Yo uncle Rico over there tellin errybody he taught you that move." Trey laughed and pointed.
