.
"Shushu! What happened?!" A mix of relief and worry, rushed through LanFen, as she ran to the injured boy under the tree, and began to examine him.
"Brother Feng." He was struggling to speak. "I was trying to warn you... not to come in here..." Blood was pouring from the sides of his mouth, and a more dangerous wound on his side was bleeding profusely.
"Stop talking!" LanFen ordered. "Preserve your energy!" She was checking the wound on his side.
"I always heard brother's call, but I couldn't come out of here, no matter how much I tried..." Shushu explained, spurting out more blood from his mouth.
LanFen felt a vein tick in annoyance. "I said, STOP TALKING!!"
As she spoke, LanFen had already hit five of his acu-points with her index and middle finger, sending Shushu into forced sleep.
"Tch! Being dramatic and then trying to die on me?! Who allowed you? If you won't reserve your energy, I'll help you do it!" LanFen complained and Lu FengHo and Shuǐ ChénLín glanced at each other, behind her.
Zhao LanFeng could indeed be scary!
Shuǐ ChénLín couldn't help a slight smile, as he remembered how Zhao LanFeng had threatened him at the inn, so he would let her tend to his wounds.
Then colour crawled up his neck, as his mind felt the need to focus on how her hands had opened his robes...
He shook his head, thankful that the others were focused on Shushu.
'What an improper thing to recall at a time like this!'
Meanwhile, LanFen had quickly poured wine over the wound, then poured debriding powder over it, before wrapping his entire midsection in white gauze.
Then she checked his pulse again, and began to transfer energy to him.
"Whatever could have harmed Shushu must be very strong." Shuǐ ChénLín observed.
"Since we've been here for five days, we know he has been in here for five days, at least... He must have been pulled into the trap, early on." LanFen didn't bother adding that the trap was probably set in place, so she would enter it.
They all had that thought behind their minds.
"That being said, I don't think the creatures attacking people outside are from the demon aisle." She finished
Shuǐ ChénLín, "Your reasoning is that, those were likely orchestrated, so Clan Leader Shuǐ would investigate and find out something was wrong in here.
"Someone other than me, must have known you were sneaking into the Demon Aisle."
LanFen, "Exactly."
Lu FengHo, "You are the only demon cultivator on the mountain, so they knew only you could bypass the array, and they must have known you had befriended Shushu, so you would stubbornly come in here and check for him."
There had been an interesting way, in which he had spoken the word 'stubbornly', which made LanFen grin.
"Ehehe... I must say, it's a clever trap. The only problem is that, both of you 'stubbornly' followed me in!"
There was a sudden rumble and a strange clicking sound from the distance, and then a highly powerful aura washed over them.
"There is no record of something so powerful, within the Demon Aisle." Shuǐ ChénLín said. "Let's try and evade it."
LanFen and Lu FengHo nodded.
LanFen, "I'll summon two demons to bring Shushu with us." LanFen said, and two of the gold and black talismans had already appeared in her fingers, but when she tried to make the summon, nothing happened!
