After Zhao ZhuYong, Shuǐ ChénLín and LanFen had left, a few of the other Clan Leaders in the Alliance, hurried over to join Shuǐ ChangSheng.

They had witnessed the first god-like fight between Yun and Yin Long, and from afar, they had seen Yin Long trap Yun within the thorny white orb.

"Did Clan Leader Zhao just run away with his daughter and your son?" Wong Fu Heng landed beside Shuǐ ChangSheng, wielding two large crescent-shaped blades, that were surrounded by clear bluish water.

There was a prominent, foul-looking wound on his left cheek, which bled into his beard.

"Say something that makes sense." Shuǐ ChangSheng could not resist scowling at him. "They have gone to prepare. Zhao Liu has to master a new technique to end things here."

"Heh! cool down." Wong Fu Heng swivelled one blade around a finger. "Either way, this fellow inside Shuǐ JunHo, does not look easy to handle! We couldn't let you have all the fun!"

"We?"

"We." Wei Zhu Qing had followed, and she landed by them, holding a beautifully chiseled marble staff, which was lined with several gems. Wei Zhu Qing's usually neat grey hair was partially undone, and one side of her robe skirts had been slashed, but like Wong Fu Heng, she seemed otherwise unharmed by her previous opponents.

"Clan Leader Shuǐ, you have some dangerous enemies here... First your Uncle, and now your nephew? Xiao Jun is a rare genius, but what, or rather, 'Who' has possessed him?"

"He is possessed by an ancient demon, who seeks to destroy the world, beginning with Xin Dao." Shuǐ ChangSheng replied.

Wong FuHeng challenged him. "Clan Leader Shuǐ, I nearly forgot! What is up with your son?! What have you been hiding? Are you raising a demon? Have you gotten your hands dirty?!"

"Senior, please exercise restraint when you speak, and do speak respectfully!" Kong Zihao had arrived as well.

"This young fellow-!" Wong Fu Heng sent him a scathing look, but Kong Zihao ignored it and he bowed to the rest, though he couldn't resist throwing Wong Fu Heng a sour look.

"You shouldn't insinuate that any interactions with demons would 'get one's hands dirty'. It's about time we stopped putting on lofty airs, and accepted that not all demons are evil, the same way, not all humans are good."

Shuǐ ChangSheng had turned to observe Kong Zihao in surprise and admiration.

Having known Kong JuLong, who frowned at the mere mention of the word 'demon', Shuǐ ChangSheng found it impressive that his son didn't share the same views.

Wong Fu Heng straightened to his full height "What nonsense are you spouting?! This is what happens when youngsters assume power!"

"It's not nonsense!" Kong Zihao protested. "And I'm not that young! It's just that I never married! Tell me, am I much younger than Clan Leader Shuǐ?! I'm not young, you're old!"

"Then why are you spouting nonsense?! What do you even know about demons?!" Wong Fu Heng challenged.

Kong Zihao sighed. "In truth, there were three children I once met as a child! They stayed around me when I was cultivating, and played with me when I was free.

"We grew close, but as I grew older, they suddenly disappeared, and I couldn't find them. I always wondered where they went off to, and I didn't even know they were demons.

"But then, I met them again as an adult. They had never aged more than a year at most, and had barely even changed in appearance.

"And they were still filled with the same innocence I remembered..." He didn't mention that he still visited the three, from time to time.
