Meanwhile, after the Zhou Alarm had sounded, the Zhou Soldiers within the Zhao residence had immediately began to regroup.

Shuǐ ChénLín smiled in amusement. "The Zhou residence is so far away, yet we can hear their gong from here.

"Only the heavens know what kind of havoc that fellow has wreaked over there, to make them use their loudest gong!"

As he spoke, not less than sixty Zhou guards hurried out of the Zhao Manor, and in the direction of the Zhou Manor.

Shuǐ ChénLín and Lu FengHo were by the servant gates of the Zhao Manor, and they both stepped out of the shadows.

"When it comes to making trouble, no one can surpass younger brother!" Lu FengHo grinned.

But something had begun to bother Shuǐ ChénLín, niggling at the edge of his mind...

He wasn't sure what it was, but it made him uncomfortable. It was the unsettling feeling that there was something he should realize, but didn't...

He pushed the thought away. "Let's go."

Back at the Zhou courtyard, Zhou ZhuFeng's right hand man, a man called San Long, attacked LanFen at once, with an evil looking pair of scimitars surrounded by dark red smoke.

LanFen lunged backwards and away, her feet leaping towards the corridor she had come from, deliberately leading him back there.

When he had followed her far enough, she shot an explosive talisman at him, but he deflected it easily with his own talisman.

Then realized a little too late, that he was in a strange white, empty space!

"Ha!" LanFen caught the talisman floating down. She had actually shot two talismans at him, a seal-space talisman riding in the shadow of the explosive one.

"How many of you am I going to successfully seal in such an easy trap?! Should I be amused? Or just pity the Zhou Clan?"

She made her way back to the courtyard, where Zhou ZhuFeng stood waiting.

He glared at her, but LanFen's smile never left her face.

"You tricky little devil! How shameless of you to pull such a low trick during a fight!" Zhou ZhuFeng roared.

But LanFen deadpanned and mimicked Shuǐ ChénLín. "'The element of surprise is important in battle.'

"Besides, you can't really complain, can you? I don't want to hear about shame from someone like you."

"You-!! I will pay you back for what you did to the Zhao and Wang Clans!" Zhou ZhuFeng pointed at her. "For causing my nephew's death, and for what you caused at the hearing!" He still hadn't forgotten what Kong Xiaoli had done to him, afterwards.

But LanFen just fanned herself lazily. "Zhou ZhuFeng, Zhou ZhuFeng. Did you just mention a hearing?"

Zhou ZhuFeng blanched at the utter disrespect with which she addressed him by name, and even her tone did nothing to disguise her complete disregard for him.

LanFen tapped her cheek in mock thought. "I'm not sure what hearing you're talking about... Ah! Could it be the hearing that was held because I killed a bunch of disgusting people, who reached out and touched what they shouldn't have touched?"

"How dare you?! Are you saying the Ancient creature belonged to you?!" Zhou ZhuFeng yelled. "Didn't you also steal him from that mountain?! 'The strong trample the weak'! Why blame the Elder for merely following nature's own rule?!"
