.
LanFen absent-mindedly watched as Shuǐ ChénLín purchased needles, generic swords and spears for training, throwing knives, bows and arrows, and a few other weapons.
But her mind was still pondering the upcoming mission to Camellia city...
When would they leave?
The previous evening, Shuǐ ChénLín had vaguely said, "Soon. Father says we would go soon."
And he had smugly refused to utter a single word after that!
So now, all she could do was ponder...
Lost in her thoughts, LanFen was about to turn away, when her eyes fell on an interesting dagger in the corner...
When Shuǐ ChénLín was done, he looked around for Zhao LanFeng, and his jaw dropped, when he found his disciple studying an impossible dagger.
"Zhao LanFeng!" He yanked his collar away from the human-sized, evil looking dagger.
The dagger was taller than LanFen, and almost as wide. It could even resist enchantment so strongly, that it would refuse to enter any spacial storage item, so whoever bought it, would be stuck carrying something as large as himself!
Shuǐ ChénLín shook his head. "Of all the odd things that can be found in this store, I'm not even surprised that you managed to settle on the strangest one! Do you think I will release funds to purchase something that hideous?!"
LanFen had absolutely no intention of buying the horrid thing, but couldn't help pulling his legs. "What if I use my own money?!"
"Dare you accompany us while lifting that rubbish?!" His fingers clamped on one of her ears, and he proceeded to drag her from the pavilion. "Will you be carrying it, or will it be carrying you?!"
"Ow ow ow! Fènghuáng-Jun! I was joking! Joking! You're embarrasing me!!"
After that, they walked for a while through the somewhat busy streets.
Most ladies giggled and twittered behind their fans, sending both of them bold looks, or even winking suggestively.
Shuǐ ChénLín was pleased that LanFen ignored them, but then she rushed from here to there, admiring one thing or the other, and she managed to annoy several traders, by asking an endless amount of questions, and still not buying anything!
More often than not, Shuǐ ChénLín turned away, pretending he didn't know her!
"Fènghuáng-Jun! Don't be like that! It's my first time coming down in a while, so I have to make the most of it!"
But he just shook his head and kept walking, leaving her to catch up...
.
When it was noon, they joined Lu FengHo for lunch at a large, prestigious restaurant, which was famous as a place where most Martial artists, especially the prominent, came for meetings, meals, wine, or even snacks.
The building was large, taking up almost three blocks, and brilliant gold characters, surely written by a sage of 'brush and ink', spelled it's name, 'Immortals' Nest'.
"Wah! Fènghuáng-Jun! Only the best for the Shuǐ genius!" LanFen was admiring the place, but Lu FengHo patted her head.
"Actually, younger brother, I'm the person treating you both, today."
LanFen's eyes widened. "Ah! I misspoke! Ehehehe, I forgot I was surrounded by such prominent gentlemen!"
They went into the restaurant...
