In the Zhao Manor, Shuǐ ChénLín and Lu FengHo had fought their way through the remaining Zhou guards.

They had been careful not to seriously harm anyone and had concentrated on knocking them out or hitting their acu-points to stop movement.

They found Lord Zhao at the center of the Zhao Manor, as LanFeng had predicted.

Zhou ZhuFeng had sealed him and the top Zhao cultivators, within the same room he had been locked in for nineteen years.

With Shuǐ ChénLín's help, Lu FengHo had to use a special eight-point seal, to break the door's own seal and set them free.

"The doors are opened!" one of the cultivators had noticed, and they all raced for the doors, but hesitated upon seeing Shuǐ ChénLín and Lu FengHo.

Had these strangers come to help? Or to worsen matters?

Zhao ChaoYun himself emerged with the rest of the cultivators, and his eyes fell on them. "Aren't you-."

They bowed respectfully.

Lu FengHo, "Paying our respects to Elder Zhao."

Zhao ChaoYun, "Unexpectedly, Shuǐ ChangSheng actually sends help my way. I thought no one would bother."

Shuǐ ChénLín, "We came with Zhao LanFeng. He suspected something would happen here."

Zhao ChaoYun, "You're here with my grand nie- Ahem! You're here with my grand nephew?! How is he? Where is he? Even I do not know what is happening!

"One day, the Zhou Clan suddenly attacked us and locked us up in here! I was worried that they would try to kill him!"

Shuǐ ChénLín and Lu FengHo looked at each other, then back at him. "The Zhou Clan indeed wants the Dragon seat. Please go with us to the Wei province, and we will explain on the way. One you are out of their clutches, they wouldn't be able to do as they please here..."

Back in the Zhou central courtyard, Zhan YiZhen laughed when Zhao LanFeng covered his nose and mouth.

"Boy, it's too late for that already. From the instant the urn crashed, we were already surrounded by devil's breath, and I even directed more of it to you. I want to see how you will escape now, especially since you've already used so much power on Zhou ZhuFeng and me."

LanFen's arms dropped heavily to her side. The purple lotus disappeared, and her sword, Shubi, clattered to the ground and vanished. She coughed and blood splattered out, then she dropped to her knees, breathing heavily. "You-!"

Zhan YiZhen leapt and floated down to her front. "You should have known your place from the start. How dare you even dream of facing me?"

LanFen raised herself to seat on her calves with seemingly a lot of effort. "You who took away my mother's spirit power, and took Jun away from me... Won't I rather face you and die?"

Zhan YiZhen's laughter was cold and hard. "How stupid. Dying for a mere demon... No wonder Shuǐ ChangSheng has been taking care of you. You must remind him of himself!"

LanFen's ears perked up at that... She remembered Clan Leader Shuǐ's words, after he discovered she was a demon cultivator...

"I once knew a demon that was better than most humans I've ever met..."

Even back than, LanFen had been immensely curious. The Shuǐ Clan didn't seem like the type of clan to associate with demons, in any way!

"What does Clan Leader Shuǐ have to do with this?" LanFen found herself asking, and Zhan YiZhen laughed.
