.
At present, LanFen washed up, dressed quickly, and hurried to meet Lu FengHo and Shuǐ ChénLín.
Lu FengHo nearly spat out his tea as LanFeng approached, as the saying, 'Pleasant to the eyes of both immortals and demons' entered his head.
He turned away, then slid a sidelong glance at Shuǐ ChénLín, and nearly burst out laughing.
Shuǐ Chén's expression was almost the same as usual, but a slight widening of his eyes, and the fact that he had forgotten to drink from his teacup, told Lu FengHo that he wasn't immune to the sight as well!
This at least, meant he himself was normal!
Off to the side, both the male and female senior disciples were staring unabashedly.
None of them had seen a neat, well-kept version of Zhao LanFeng, and he was like the fresh morning sun, after a dark, rainy night!
Shuǐ ChénLín caught himself and gently touched his teacup back to table.
Somehow, since the night Zhao LanFeng had apologized to him in front of his lodge, there was a strange, floral aura that seemed to surround Zhao LanFeng.
He was certain it was an after effect of the 'Lantern of Strings' technique, but it still annoyed him to no end!
Thankfully, he had gone on a few missions since then, so he hadn't been around too often, but seeing Zhao LanFeng like this, only made the effect worse.
His features reshaped into annoyance, by the time she reached them.
"Late comer!"
"Ehehehe." LanFen cupped her hands and bowed. "Paying my respects to Fènghuáng-Jun!"
Then she began to gesture dramatically. "'Through the beautiful scents and changes of the seasons... The joys of rose wine should be shared amongst friends ...'
"Fènghuáng-Jun, the *Late Spring draws to a close. How can you attack your disciple, immediately you return? Instead, shouldn't we find the nearest place to share wine and appreciate the beauty of spring?"
*Ancient term for March
Lu FengHo was laughing, but Shuǐ ChénLín's brows furrowed even more. "Disciple Zhao, continue like this, and you won't see wine for a year! You've missed roll call exactly five times since you got here!"
LanFen sobered up instantly. "Ah, that's because I went for secluded cultivation!"
"And who did you tell, before you left?!" Shuǐ ChénLín demanded.
"Er... Ehehe, Fènghuáng-Jun, the pure desire of your disciple to cultivate and attain new heights, came unexpectedly!" LanFen replied with no small passion.
But it was a lie... She had disappeared, because she had her monthly period.
Her master's seal weakened during that time, so the suggestion spell stopped working, and if anyone checked her pulse, they might discover she was a woman.
LanFen turned to the disciples who stood attentively, with their excitement clear on their faces.
She hadn't seen so many of them in one place, since they usually went on missions.
Though they were still disciples, they were far stronger than regular men, so they were often sent to guard escorts, residences, hunt down thieves, bandits, and even murderers.
A few of the stronger ones even went on demon hunts, or sometimes accompanied Purple or Black realm cultivators on their own missions.
LanFen made to join the disciples, but Shuǐ ChénLín stopped her.
