Illumi woke up alone, just like how he had fallen asleep. He couldn't tell if Hisoka was in their suite or not. He probably wasn't, Illumi couldn't feel his presence anywhere near him. He sighed as he looked up at the ceiling. If Hisoka was not here, there really was no point in going out. Cruise ships weren't fun if they weren't with him by his side. Now that he thought of it, jobs weren't fun if Hisoka didn't come along. Maybe the job itself was always boring, but Hisoka always found ways to entertain him by inviting him to a nice dinner afterwards or turning jobs into friendly competitions. The more he thought about him, the more he wanted Hisoka to burst through the door, grab him by the wrist, and take him on their newest adventure of the day.

Illumi faltered, the events from last night just coming back to him. Was Hisoka still mad at him? He doubted it, Hisoka had never been the type to dwell. Regardless, Illumi felt like it was wrong to just talk to Hisoka like if nothing happened. He figured that he at least owed the man some type of apology, or acknowledgement that he had been too rude last night. Taking a deep breath, he decided that he would swallow his pride—just this once—for Hisoka.

He stepped out his room determinedly and looked around for him. Hisoka was sitting casually on the couch in front of the TV, watching some type of nature documentary, a styrofoam box that held his breakfast between his legs. He looked up at Illumi curiously when he saw him enter, quirking an eyebrow as he took a bite out of his pancakes.

"Hisoka,"

"Yes...?"

"Look. I... I am sorry"

Hisoka raised both eyebrows at him in surprise.

"I am sorry for being rude to you last night. I know I can be inconsiderate, and if I took it too far last time, I am sorry." He stopped himself, deciding that he didn't want to give him an explanation. Hopefully, an apology would be enough.

"So now you're apologizing? This is so unlike you Lumi, what's gotten into you?" Hisoka was right, Illumi was never one to apologize, much less for his attitude. Almost everyone who knew him was aware of Illumi's tendency to be overly blunt, rude, and inconsiderate. But still...

"I felt that I really upset you with my rudeness. Besides, you are the only person worth apologizing to."

"I'm flattered." He gave him a wide smile, Illumi ignored the relief that washed over him at the sight of Hisoka's big smile.

"So what do you have planned for today? I will not leave you in the middle of the night again, I can assure you this."

"I'm glad to hear that Lumi, but to be honest I am a bit tired, so I thought I would sleep a little bit before we go out tonight. The cruise is nearing its end, so I wont let our last days go to waste, but I am extremely tired, give me a chance to sleep and I'll be ready to go out by tonight."

"So what will I do?"

"Lumi, you can still go out, I won't hold it against you." He laughed softly. "Who knows? Maybe you'll have fun when I'm not there."

"Ugn, I doubt it."

"I'll be waiting here, I won't leave without you."

"Good. I will kill you if you do."

"Mmmm that sounds so exciting, not tonight though."

Illumi rolled his eyes at him and left their suite, smiling slightly when he fully closed the door behind him. He was glad he could fix things with Hisoka so easily. But what was he going to do without him? Part of him wanted to turn around and walk back to the suite, sit next to Hisoka and watch reality television with him, but he knew that he should let Hisoka get his rest, so he decided to take a quick stroll around the ship before heading to the one place he felt comfortable on the cruise without Hisoka.
