It was early May, and the weather was finally nice. It was cloudy, but still you were warm. You felt like you had a blanket on as your lay in the grass, looking at the clouds. You're only 7 at this point, but were content with the small things in your life.

Next to you was your favorite stuffed animal, a small blue bunny. You understood bunnies weren't blue, but it didn't hurt to believe. The grass was had that slight damp feel to it, although it wasn't wet at all, just cooler than the air around you. The sun rose in the sky, and you realized after seeing it right above your head that you were hungry. You grabbed your bunny and ran inside.

"Mommy! I hungy!" You said as you approached your mother. Your mom was pretty, or at least you thought so. She had this way about her that made you feel safe, like even if something really bad happened, you would be okay. Your dad wasn't home, he was out working. You didn't really know what his job was, but you knew that if mom was home, dad wasn't. They would take turns going on these 'missions' as they called them, making sure you always had someone with you. Only once did they both have to leave in order to do their work, but you had a great time seeing your grandma. Your mom smiled at you, and picked you up. Although you were getting a little on the chubbier side, your mom had to problem lifting you. She was strong like that.

"What would you like to eat, my little bunny?" She said, bringing you into the kitchen. Perhaps it's that nickname that made you so attached to your stuffed animal, one that you were currently gripping on by it's ear. "I want dino's!" You giggled, bouncing up and down. Your mom laughed, Dino Nuggets were one of your favorite snacks to have, and she had a feeling you were going to choose them. "Mommy has to put you down before I can make them, is that okay?"

You nodded, excited for you nuggets to be done as soon as possible. When your mom put you down, you ran to the living room to go wait in your chair quietly. Your mom watched you with sorrow eyes as you ran away, She was afraid of what was going to come of you soon. Your father and her's work wasn't exactly risk free, and with this current case that has had your father gone for two months, you were uncertain of his return. She sighed, and turned back to the Dino Nuggets she was preparing for you. 'I'll do anything to make sure you'll be okay (Y/N)...'

Her thoughts were interrupted by the ding of the toaster oven, signaling that your food was ready. You sat up anxiously, with a large smile across your face. "(Y/N) come here! Your dino's are ready to be eaten by the asteroid!" As soon as your mom said this, you grabbed your bunny and sprinted into the kitchen. You see, when your mom says you must be the asteroid, you have to go really fast in order to quickly eat them. You stopped at the table, giggly and out of breath.

"Enjoy, my bunny. Would you like any ketchup?" Your mom opened the fridge, already knowing your response. She reached for the ketchup right when you said, "Yes mommy! The dinos are bleeding everywhere!!" You dipped a dino in the newly poured mound of ketchup, saying "Rest in peace Mr. Dino", before you ate each one. Your mom leaned on the counter, watching you play with your food. She wondered how long it would take you to grow out of the habit, but she wishes for you to never stop imagining.

"Mommy?" You ask, noticing she was lost in her thoughts. Her head snapped up, and when she noticed you were okay, and that you had already finished your nuggets, she sighed. "What's up? Let me get your plate for you." She grabbed your plate and brought it to the sink to rinse off as you began to talk again. "When is Daddy coming home?" This innocent question from you caused your mom's hands to shake. She clenched the plate, and sighed.
