Seraphina's POV
"Anak umiiyak ka na naman" mom said worriedly.
I didn't know that I was crying as I remember what happened years ago. I'm mad at daddy but I miss him now.
"Ehem.. It's nothing mom." I smiled at her.
"Anak, ang tagal na natin sa Pilipinas hindi ka pa rin marunong magtagalog?"
"I'm trying, mom. I just find it hard because Bethany is always calling me, like everyday. My classmates talk to me in English too."
"Edi sabihan mo si Tristan.. yung best friend mo."
"He is so irritating, mom! He's the only one talking to me in tagalog but he always asar me cuz I make halo tagalog and English words daw"
*knock knock*
*door opens*
"Good morning, Tita Sarah.. Good morning, Seraphina." - Kate
"Yes, Good morning.. There's a food in the table already. You two can eat now." I said
"Sige anak, go to school na" mom said ang kissed my cheeks.
"Bye, mom.. Bye, Kate"
Kate is the one who's taking care of mom every time that I'm in school. I just can't leave my mom alone. Because of stress, she got sick. Breast Cancer.
*Bzzzt Bzzzt*
I looked at my phone and I saw a text from the person who's the reason why my mom got sick.
Daddy:
Seraphina, can I call you now?
I did not reply but he called
"Hi, baby! How are you? How's your mom?"
Sh!t I really miss him!
"We are not doing fine. I need money. When are you going to send us money, huh?" I miss him but I don't wanna be nice to him.
"I'll send it later.. I miss you, baby. When are you going back?"
"Miss you too. bye" I hang up.
We won't come back to you, dad. Never.
I saw Tristan waiting for me outside the school so I called him.
"Oy!"
"Para kang siga ah?"
"The heck?!"
"Pasok na tayo" he said and he held my hand.
Some students are looking at us. Like, hello? We are doing this everyday. This is normal.

"Anong gusto mong kainin?" Tristan asked.
"Ikaw na bahala" I said.
"Whoa! Anong nakain mo ba't kanina ka pa nagtatagalog?" he looked so shocked.
"Mom said kasi that matagal na kami here in the Philippines so I should speak tagalog daw."
"Your mom said, you speak tagalog not make halo the tagalog and english" he imitate my voice.
