CHAPTER THIRTY: FRIEND & LOVER

"Nakakaexcite, 'di ba?" Rina laughed after sa sinabi niya, napahila siya sa sarili niyang buhok while trying to calm herself. Well, this is the usual Rina that I've seen even back in elementary.

"GENEVIEVE!!!!!" napatalon ako sa sigaw ni Rina bigla.

Niyakap niya ako sa likod sabay iyak, "anong gagawin na'tin sa project? Ba't kailangan na'tin nang thesis? Hindi naman tayo nasa college?

"Seventeen pa lang tayo? Ano ba 'to! Huhuhuhu!" I sighed sa sinabi ni Rina.

May bagong project na ini-assign sa'min mga seniors which is thesis. Honestly, I hated it... I tried to pass English last month just by doing thesis pero I got a zero! Well, blame it on the teacher dahil never niya naman kami tinuruan kung paano!

Naiinis din ako habang naiisip ko 'yun.

"We don't have a choice, pasa or hindi tayo makakapasa..." Alexander says at umupo sa tabi namin sa locker. It looks like this locker is becoming our meeting place.

"Kailangan kong grumaduate Rina kaya mag-aaral talaga ako...." Bakit ba kasi kailangan pang pasa pasa pa 'yan? Bakit pa kasi may school pang nalalaman?

Naiinis nanaman ako, parang ayaw kong mag-aral pero wala na akong choice, kailangan ko na talaga 'tong gawin!

"Grabe ka, study date tayo dali!" she squealed, study date? Anong study date? "Nabubuang ka na ba? Mukha bang kailangan ko nang study date? Kailangan kong magdasal na pumasa ako, wag ako!" I crossed my arms pagkasabi ko.

"Vivi, okay lang naman kung hindi ka pumasa eh..." Ares spoke with his lollipop on his mouth, kinuha niya yung isa pang lollipop sa loob ng pocket niya at binigay sa'kin, "At least we can be classmates... right?" he smiles softly while offering the lollipop to me.

I blushed sa sinabi niya and in-accept yung lollipop. Don't even think about that, Genevieve! Bawal! Kailangan mong pumasa para sa sarili mo!

"That's still horrible, Ares!" sabi ko.

"Right, we need a Genevieve Diamante graduating with us... it'll be funny..." Alexander said sabay tawa.

Anong nakakatawa don? "Ah... funny... so if I beat you up in front of everyone on your graduation, that'll be funny!" Nawala ang ngiti ni Alexander sa sinabi ko and niyakap ang sarili niya.

"Okay na... masakit na 'yong pagsuntok mo sa tiyan ko... okay na po ma'am," natawa ako sa sinabi niya. That's right! That's right! See? Alexander now knows who's the boss.

We were all just laughing together like a good friend group. I've never had a friend group until now, well me and Rina always hung out with each other pero she used to have other friend groups... it just doesn't last at all.

That's when until I felt a couple of girls looking right at us sa may gilid ng classroom sa hallway kung nasaan kami nag-hahangout. I'm pretty sure that it's the other section for seniors, nakatitig sila sa'min, and of course ako lang ang nakakakita dahil nakaharap ako sa direksyon nila while the other three's backs were facing their classrrom.

Hindi ko alam kung nakatitig ba sila sa'min lang or sa'kin.

Well, kung sa akin sila nakatitig then it wouldn't really matter? They can't touch me after all. Ayaw ko na rin makigulo at ayaw ko na ring masuspende.
