CHAPTER FORTY SIX: PROFESSIONAL

"Oh my god... Ares... did what?" Rina asked.

Natawa na lang ako sa pagtaas ng boses niya while sipping my glass of orange juice. Ngumiti na lang ako at sinagot siya with a yes na 'lang.

We're currently talking on the phone about what had just happened two days ago.

Kahit siya, 'di rin makapaniwala sa sinabi ko.

I mean, we should've expected this especially na pareho kaming parte ng mga pamilya sa CREED but I just never expected him as someone, as someone that will manage a certain company of Cardozas.

I feel so stupid now.

"And... kamusta ka?" she then sighs.

Medyo natahimik ako sa tanong niya, I don't know if she's asking about me or my feelings about him.

I haven't really told her anything about my feelings about him at all, I tried to hold back and focus instead.

Napatingin ako sa sinabi niya, "Hm? What do you mean? I'm okay?" I told her.

I know what she's talking about pero ayokong sagutin 'yon. I don't wanna answer that question, not when it's not the right time and place for that question.

"I mean... 'yung puso mo." she answered.

I chuckled softly and finished my glass of the orange juice, natawa na lang ako kahit na 'di ko talaga alam ang isasagot ko sa tanong na 'yan.

I mean... alam ko.

Alam ko ang sagot sa tanong 'yan, I just don't want to answer it. Not when I'm not at the right position to answer it.

"Rina, you already know that... " I sighed and sinagot ko siya.

I felt a bit shy sa tanong niya, this is the wrong time to ask that.

"Tama na 'tong usapan na 'to, how about you? Kamusta ka?" tanong ko sa kanya, trying to change the topic.

Binalik ko 'yung baso ng juice sa kitchen sabay kuha nang bag ko and left my own place papuntang trabaho.

It's been a long time since I've left the mansion kung saan nakatira pa 'rin sina Dad at si Quinten, and of course... the second wife of Dad na ayaw 'kong pag-usapan.

"Ikaw ah, pabebe ka lang pero siguro kumakabog 'yung puso nung ginawa niya 'yun," pang-aasar niya pa sabay tawa niya.

Ngumiti ako sa mga staff sa apartment building as I continue to walk towards the direction of the parking lot.

I opened the door of my new Mercedes Benz car, I was gonna get myself a Ferrari but the traffic in the Philippines is on another level, kaya eto.

"And well... I have a modeling job again as always, hm..." she answered my question.

Rina is now a model, she's now a full-time model and a author.

I can't even remember which agency she currently works for.

"Rina, ano 'bang pangalan ng kumpanya mo? The agency? The modeling agency?" I asked her.

Nowadays talagang nag-reresearch ako about sa modeling and fashion industry since I'm gonna have to work together with Ares for this fashion week.
