CHAPTER THIRTY SIX: TRUST

"I heard something..." Ares started talking as were both walking in the hallway while drinking our can of sprite. "Hm...?" I said, taking a sip of my sprite.

"What happened during lunch the other day?" I almost choke on my can of sprite sa sinabi niya.

Where did he hear that from? Alexander said something... didn't he?

I didn't tell him to not say anything nor Rina pero why would Alexander even tell him? There's no point anyway especially na it's just a rumor.

"Did you get into a fight yesterday?" he asks, tiningnan ko si Alexander for a few seconds and tumawa ako sa harap niya, I hold his tightly and let our fingers intertwined.

"No! I just... warned someone who's making up rumors and spread them around our class... it's rumors about Rina, I wanted them to stop... so I made them!" I said, letting a sigh escape from my lips.

Ares nodded, "So, you're protecting Rina again?" he asks, drawing a small smile on his lips.

Tumango ako, "Yes... I do it all the time, especially ayokong makitang nasasaktan si Rina, she's very precious to me." she's always been precious to me. It's like what everyone says, you don't want to see the person you adore, you care, or even love to be in pain, right?

"How nice of you Vivi~" Ares smiles widely and leans his head next to my shoulder while were both walking.

Napangiti ulet ako, then realizing how taller Ares has become. Before, he was just a little inches under me thanks to my height too pero ngayon, parang mas lalo siyang tumangkad kaysa sa'kim. Awe, what a baby... a baby growing up.

"Really?" I said playfully.

"Of course! you were just protecting Rina! I'm so lucky to have you as my girlfriend!" Ares said. My face painted into color red sa sinabi niya, masyado akong natutuwa at ngumingiti dahil kay Ares. He's really like a vitamin, isn't he? A vitamin that is so addicting yet satisfying.

"You know what." inialis niya ang ulo niya sa may balikat ko at hinarap ako with a pout on his face, he looks like a baby again.

"I will... protect you just like you did with Rina! I'm your boyfriend so I must do that!" he nods to himself. I was trying to hide my laughter and keep a straight yet proud face because of Ares.

"You don't have to!" I failed and chuckled, di ko napigilan ang sarili ko.

"Why are you laughing! seryoso ako!" he pouts again, even resting both of his hands into his waist.

"Yes yes! Of course... it's just..." I paused, stepping forward in front of him, and squeezed both of his cheeks. "...You're so adorable, I really want to squeeze those squishy cheeks of yours..." I whispered next to him dahil nahihiya ako na baka marinig ako nang ibang mga estudyante and teachers around us.

May kahihiyan pa rin naman ako kahit na may boyfriend na ako.

Ares flashes his softest smile sa sinabi ko, even showing his eyesmile.

"I love that."" he says, I even patted his head because he looked so fucking cute! How can you even resist someone like him? Because I can't? I can't resist him at all!
