CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: BOYFRIEND

"I swear to god Ares!" natatawa kong sabi while walking slowly, tinatakpan ni Ares ang mata ko as if he's trying to surprise me for something.

Honestly, all I could think of was maybe we could go to the store and just eat ice cream while also eating each oth—nope... mali! I shouldn't be even thinking about this! Mali talaga ang nasa isip mo Genevieve.

Well, we've been kissing a lot... what can I say?

I can feel his breath, "I know! Pero at least nandito na tayo, okayyyy! It's ready!" he said at tinanggal ang kamay niya, binuksan ko ang mga mata ko at napangiti sa sorpresa niya.

We're actually at the back of the school?

We are standing in front of a huge, beautiful tree with several roses and sunflowers around it. He was planning a picnic date? After school? Oh my god?

Ang dami ding pagkain sa picnic blanket mismo! There are two packets of nova chips, isang bowl full of nips, tray of plastic wrapped sandwiches, two bottles of c2 and more chocolates!

Halos lahat ay paborito ko! Especially the nova chips? Paano naman niya nalaman 'tong mga paborito ko? Seriously? Who is this man standing next to me? I can feel his growing smile dahil sa reaksyon ko, naramdaman ko ang biglang pagyakap niya sa'kin sa likod ko nang mahigpit.

I can't help but smile because of this. This is too sweet. My heart is beating way too fast, ang laki na rin nang ngiti sa labi ko.

"You've been too busy with monthly exams and school stuff, so I figured out na baka papayat ka dahil wala ka nang masyadong kain..." he pauses, leaning even closer to my neck and to my ears.

Napapikit ako, shit.

"Today's date is all about you, you need some time for yourself..." my eyebrow raised in surprise again.

"You..." tinanggal ko ang pagkakakapit niya sa'kin at hinarap siya, "Ho did you know na busy ako dahil sa school and stuff like this... I mean I know na everyone will have their monthly exams and finals pretty soon... just..." I can't find the right words, just how did he know? Ngumiti siya ulet at hinawakan ang dalawa kong kamay nang mahigpit and lumapit siya sa'kin.

"I texted Rina of course..." ngiti niyang sabi. Hold up, Rina? What? They text? They actually talk to each other?

"You... guys text?" I asked him, ano naman 'tong nararamdaman ko? It feels bitter? Petty? I don't know why but pero.. I just don't feel good about this. No, this is Rina. Just one of Rina's schemes!

Siguradong tinetext ni Rina si Ares dahil sa'kin, she really supports this. She supports my relationship between me and Ares', my best friend is crazy.

So bakit ko naman naiisip 'to? They're just friends, for sure.

"Genevieve, I am your boyfriend." Nagising ako sa sarili kong pag-iisip sa sinabi ni Ares, there was no smile but instead a tempting, loving stare form his eyes. I know, you're my boyfriend. And it makes me happy that you are my boyfriend, Ares.

"I ask Rina questions about you, I just texted her yesterday for this... I'm glad that she helped talaga!" he said.

Rina really answered those questions despite what happened sa kanya nung time na 'yon.

Huh, Rina... anong gagawin ko sa'yo?

"Is there something wrong?" tanong ni Ares, unti unti niyang hinihila pa-upo sa picnic blanket with a cute pout on his face. Damn it, look at him.
