Chapter Sixteen

CHAPTER SIXTEEN: DISTRACTIONS

Natatakot tuloy akong pumasok ng class today because of everything like seriously, first off the guys na gustong humiganti kay Quinten because natatakot lang ako na gamitin nila ako and try to hurt me. But I think alam na ni Quinten what happened and he seems to know Alexander aka LEX. And masaya ako sa sinabi ni Quinten that he cares about me na parang kapatid niya.

I mean we are related. Just different mothers pero I hate his mother still. Quinten has always been there for me as a brother pero lagi ko siyang tinutulak dahil sa galit ko. I feel bad.

All these years maybe Alexander was right, that he loves me and he cares about me.

And then 'to namang si Ares.

Ares Jude Cardoza. He actually has feelings for me at ano naman ang kailangan kong gawin? Mababaliw na yata ako! How am I supposed to act around him?

He's just so cute... I can't help but think of him! Especially ngayon dahil sa sinabi niya kagabi.

Namumula nanaman yung mukha ko, I'm going to explode!

I need to calm down first o hindi ko mapipigilan ang sarili ko. Dad is still here and last night he told us na gusto niya akong ihatid sa university. Which is weird pero... it's been so long since the last na naihatid niya 'ko well since pre-school.

It was fun. Natatandaan ko na lagi kaming pumupunta sa ice cream store malapit sa mall after school. Our father-daughter bonding. Nakakamiss.

Nawala yung ngiti sa labi ko when I remembered that day. He was disappointed and he just left for business trips and has forgotten about me. Nakakainis but I'm also disappointed about myself nung time na yun.

"Genevieve?" Narinig kong may kumatok sa pintuan ko, I immediately tie my hair up at ngumiti ng maliit, this is perfect.

Binuksan ko ang pintuan ko, it was Quinten.

"Ugh. Ugly." I said and rolled my eyes. Tumawa siya.

"Are you serious? Ang gwapo ko kaya!" Sigaw niya. "Saan? Mas attractive pa yung kwarto ko sayo!" I said, at kinuha ang Michael Kors bag ko.

Inayos niya ang buhok niya habang tinititigan ang sarili niya sa salamin ko, "I got Dad's good looks what are you talking about!" He blurted out.

Tama siya. He did got some of Dad's good looks and I hate it.

"Thank dad dahil hindi ka makakakuha ng chicks kung hindi niya pinasa yung itsura niya sayo." I laughed.

Bigla kong naalala yung sinabi sa'kin ni Alexander kahapon. Napaisip nanaman ako and yung sinabi ko about Quinten hating on me. Does Quinten really hate me tho? I mean sinabi niya sa'kin na kapatid niya talaga ako and he cares about me.

"And you... you got dad's vibe." He said sabay lapit sa'kin, I raised my eyebrow. "Ano namang ibig sabihin niyan, ha?" I asked.

"Mom told me.." he paused, knowing how much I hate his mother. Tumalikod na lang ako para hindi niya makita yung mukha ko.

"Dad used to be so scary, intimidating, cold and just... rude!" He chuckles softly.

Dad? Pfft. Yeah sure.

"Pero deep inside he's actually a softie." Natahimik ako. "Deep inside he cares about everyone important to me like nung namatay si Uncle Jaime and nahirapan ng husto si Aida and he helped her grow into someone that she is now!" He said.
