When our last class ended, I immediately got my things and went out of the classroom. Hindi ko na hinintay sila Robi at hinayaan naman nila ako. They knew I needed space, and I'm just not in the mood to talk to anyone right now.

"Hi, Kuya." Bati sa'kin ni Hannah pagkarating ko sa bahay. "I made you dinner." Sabi niya na itinuro pa ang gawi ng dining area. She was by the piano, just beside the grand staircase, practicing some notes

I shook my head, "Not hungry."

"What? Why?" Nagtatakang tanong niya.

"Did something happen, anak?" Napalingon kami parehas ni Hannah nang marinig ang boses ni Mama. Pababa siya ngayon ng grand staircase.

"Mom." Bati ko at hinalikan ang noo niya nang makalapit siya. "You're home early." Puna ko, because she doesn't usually go home this early.

"Yeah. We're already fixing the preparations for your Mamu's birthday on Saturday." Nakangiting sabi niya. "I heard you visited Shay? With your girlfriend?"

Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Hannah.

"Uh, yeah." Sagot ko. "We looked for something she could wear for Mamu's birthday. They had to get our measurements."

Mom smiled. "That's good! I can't wait to meet her, son. Solana says she's beautiful." She sounded so genuine kaya hindi ko na rin napigilan ang ngumiti.

"She is, Mom." Si Hannah ang sumagot kaya lumingon ako sa kanya. "You're going to love her, for sure." She smiled proudly.

"What's her name?"

Hindi ko pa sana balak sabihin pero sa ganda ng ngiti ni Mama, I decided to just tell her. They'll meet soon anyway. There's no point in hiding it anymore.

"Belle."

"Belle?" She asked.

"Belle Mariano."

She smiled, "I can't wait to meet her. Your Dad and I were just talking about her earlier. What's her favorite food?" Tanong niya. "I'll have the chefs make it especially for her."

"Fries are her favorite." I said it almost automatically.

Hindi ko na rin napigilan ang pagngiti nang maalalang sinabi niya ngang favorite niya ang fries. Naalala ko pa noong pinapila niya ako para kumuha ng isang platong gravy.

"Fries?" Mama asked.

Nakangiti akong tumango. "Yes. And lots of gravy."

Natawa si Mama. "I love her already."

"Told you, Kuya!"

"Alright then. Magpapaluto ako ng maraming maraming fries and gravy just for her." Excited na sabi ni Mama, kaya napangiti ako.

Nawala bigla ang sama ng loob na nararamdaman ko kanina. I can see how happy Mama is, and to me that's everything.

"She just loves her already." Hannah said as we both watched Mama walk her way towards the dining area. "Too bad it's all fake, huh?"

Napalingon ako sa kanya at hindi nakasagot.

"Well... You know, there won't be a problem if you just fall in love with her for real." Mapanukso niyang sabi kaya kumunot ang noo ko.

Isinara niya na ang piano atsaka tuluyan nang humarap sa'kin.

"Don't start." Pigil ko kaagad sa kung anumang balak niyang sabihin.
