Ashwin & Ashima tried their best to meet up and spend few days together while being in LDR, but it didn't fall into place for them. It was getting tough, like every relationship, misunderstandings happen, even more when you happen to be in a long distance. Whenever they get into an argument, they made sure to solve the issue before one goes to sleep. They never liked the idea of bringing over the issue to next day or bottling it up, it'll never make them feel at peace.
But, as planned, Ashwin & Ashima started writing a small note every day. Surprisingly, it helped the both of them. The notes began to be that one thing they look forward to do every day because it became more of a reminder that the days for them to meet is nearing.
They started coming up with more similar ideas since they found it to be of help. Days where they missed each other but could not get to text/call right away, they wrote letters, upload Instagram stories, singing songs and sending it to each other. Days where they could talk, it'll be about their wedding & future plans, how are they going to carry it forward, how they would manage having a family and etc. A very matured relationship, very different to their circle of friends but a beautiful one.
Eventually months passed and they only had about 2 weeks left before they head back home. Their excitement was building as their big day was getting closer. Ashima was getting busier with her work whereas Ashwin was having less work since he's going to relocate to France. It was him missing her more on these days, but there's nothing much he could do than patiently countdown the days. Every day, he would tell Ashima how much he misses her, he can't wait to see her, for their big day and so on.
One of these days, Ashima was held up with work, she had few clients at a go, and it all felt too much on her plate. There weren't any text/calls from her for about 3 days and it made Ashwin worried. He contacted some of her friends who are there with her and got to know that she's been stressing out. The friends told Ashima that Ashwin sounded as if he was worried. Ashima felt bad and called him immediately.
Ashima: abby? Is everything okay?
Ashwin: hey abby, I'm good, why? How are you?
Ashima: Rachel (Ashima's friend) just told me that you sounded worried
Ashwin: aiyoo abby, nothing like that. Are you at work?
Ashima: yesss yes but we can talk
Ashwin: you sure?
Ashima: yes abby, why da what's wrong? You are sounding dull
Ashwin: vetti a iruken la, adhan, vera onnum illa
Ashima: (laughed), go and do something then, you always come up with some quick plans right
Ashwin: don't feel like going anywhere or doing anything
Ashima: then? You're going to sit all day doing nothing?
Ashwin: yaar sonna I'm doing nothing nu
Ashima: abby, you just said you're vetti, didn't you?
Ashwin: ah adhu yes but that doesn't mean I'm not doing anything
Ashima: (confused), ok, what are you doing then?
Ashwin: Missing you!!
Ashima: abbyyyy...ennadhu idhelam? Since when you got so good at telling such lame jokes
Ashwin: adipavi, do you know how big & trouble of work is that?
Ashima: (laughed) therila abby, neeye sollu
Ashwin: yen solla maata
Ashima: what can I do? There's nothing we could do about it. Just hold on, 2 more weeks and we can see each other
Ashwin: 2 more weeks, TWO FREAKING WEEKS
Ashima: seri seri, I know it's long, but we have survived all this while, 2 weeks will pass soon
Ashwin: epdiyum, naan pesama anga kelambi vandhurata?
Ashima: ah apram? Anga un work a yaar paapa?
Ashwin: I don't have much to do anyways these days, I'll just resign now itself
Ashima: abbyyy, you're gonna get it from me
Ashwin: fineee 😔
Ashima: Yen iniki ivlo missings?
Ashwin: therilaye, I just want you in my arms
The call got disconnected and Ashima called back Ashwin.
Ashima: it got cut abby
Ashwin: nalla iruku!! enna oru timing oh iniki
Ashima: (giggled) in 2 weeks I'll be there with you, just 2 more weeks abby. You'll be ok da, just don't overthink. I think you're feeling like this since I got busy for the past few days. It's going to be fine
Ashwin: yea, I will, sorry I bothered you a little too much today
Ashima: phew, finally you realized
Ashwin: wow okay!!
Ashima: hehe, was just kidding, I miss you too, we're almost there
Ashwin: I know I know, I'll be fine, don't worry. By the way abby why are you...
The call got cut again.
