Part 54

Last day of their short vacay trip, they didn't have any plans for the day, hence decided to sleep in.

The homestay they stayed became so close to their heart. From the moment they woke up, they started having missing feels that they are going to go back. It was not their first vacation together but there was something about this place, maybe the memories they created over here. Sitting by the campfire, talking about their future and how it became the place where they had their first celebration together (Ashwin's bday). They have never talked about this during their younger days, but they have felt and dreamt of it. Of course, things didn't go well by the time they could convey it to each other, but now, to see everything falling back into place just it all feel better. Giving time some time was worth it.

Then, they drove back home, Ashima drove the car this time. As always, Ashwin placed his hands on her lap. The drive and the vibes were the opposite of how it was when they were heading towards the snow village resort. There was more silence while driving back and Ashwin couldn't handle the silence.

Ashwin: abby, yen ivlo silence? Talk something

Ashima: I'm driving..can't multitask and think of what to talk, neeye edhadhu pesu

Ashwin: hmm, enna pesalam

Ashima: play some songs then, at least that will take off the silence

Ashwin: enna song venum?

Ashima: edhadhu play pannu abby, ethana questions (rolls her eyes)

Ashwin: fineee, random a playlist la irundhu play panren, whatever song that comes first, we'll talk something according to the song's mood, ok?

Ashima: doneee

Ashwin: enna oru timing

Ashwin: I shuffle played it, why would I specifically choose this song

Ashima: as if you don't know why

Ashwin: therilaye, neeye sollu paapom

Ashima: innum oru few days la unaku teriyum, then I'll ask again

Ashwin: ahem ahem, I should be asking you, female vocals la vara song idhu, teriyum dhana?

Ashima: theriyum, adhunaladhan I thought you played this on purpose

Ashwin: edhoooo but it's a nice song

Ashima: adhane!! Anyways, indha song vandhadhu nalladhu dhan. We didn't talk much about wedding plans. Is everything going fine, did you ask at home? Naa edhume kekala, ketta kooda amma was like we'll take care of it, nee time ku vandhu sendha podhum

Ashwin: (giggled) everything is fine. I looked over the vendors as well with Shweta and Abishek. But there's going to be a huge crowd!! Adhuku we have to be prepared

Ashwin: I'll convey this idea to appa, ok?

Ashima: nee onnum panna venaa, summa iru

Ashwin: last wedding in my family and first in yours, of course we can expect a crowd. Idhula we are related, imagine just relatives evlonu

Ashima: yen abby idhelam solli enna nervous aakura, I'm not prepared for it

Ashwin: prepared aana you won't feel nervous on that day

Ashima: very smart (sarcasm)

Ashwin: I know I know. Can't believe we're going to get married; it's not syncing in still for me, namba mudiyave illa

Ashima: (smiled) laa? I think it'll only sync into me once we're married

Ashwin: I can understand but we're in this together and it'll all be fine, okay? (held her hand tightly giving reassurance)

Ashima: that trauma will always be there...
