Chapter 25(A note)

"Oh don't you just look the cutest." I laughed as I watched Amy and Kenric make there way down the stairs in there school uniform.
They had both been force to go to school, I didn't have to of course because well yeah.
I pulled out my phone and took pictures of there stupid Elf clothes, me, Amy and Kenric wore human clothes around the house but they Amy and Kenric started to les. But I was always wearing a oversized jumper, joggers and a sports bra, at first Mom and Dad tried to get me to wears the tunics and leggings the elves wore but then they realised it bought me comfort so Mom snuck to the human cities and bought me more.
Kenric and Amy also had to wear a registry pendant (which was a weird tracking device thing) they put it on last night and complained for 1 hour straight. For me though it looked like it was going to choke me and one incident later I didn't have to wear one, Mom and Dad also had one on now. I was always the exception.
"Shut up geek ." Kenric groaned.
"Yeah why do we have to even go to a fancy elf school?" Amy chimed in.
"Because," Mom answered, "you two have already missed a lot especially you Amy but you will be held back a year."
Oh yeah so since the year Amy was supposed to be in was the year that you took really hard test that would say if you made it to the elite levels which were basically college.
They both groaned which only made me smile wider.
"It's so unfair that we have to go when geek here doesn't."
"Well that's only because I'm everyone's favourite."
I knew that wasn't why, it was because I was still broken but I didn't say that.
"Now you to have fun and go or you will be late." Mom said after a moment and just like that those to went off to school, once they left Mom turned to me.
"So me and Dad have a meeting but if you want one of the can stay?"
"Nah don't worry about me I'm just going to be watching tv."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes now go."
Mom smiled, "you seemed good."
I really was I loved moments like theses when there really was hope.
"I am."
Dad hugged me before reaching for moms hand and leaping away.
I made my way up to my room looking at all the dumb photos I had of Amy and Kenric, I should hang them up some where shouldn't I?
It had been around an hour since Mom and Dad left and I was fine I lay on my bed and flicked through my phone until there was a pop as a small box appeared on the floor.
I jumped back as my knees went straight to my chest but I was getting better at controlling it.
Breath.
Breath.
Breath.
I managed to calm down once I did I reached out and picked the box up lifting the lid to find a note and a photo.
Look what you did, look what you made me do , it's all your fault.

I turned it over to find a picture of Heathers beautiful smiling face.
I froze.
She should she should still be here.
It was all my fault.
I stared at it for who knew how long as tears came rushing down my cheeks, I tried to look away but I couldn't.
I vaguely heard my door open and a gasped but I was to focused on the photo of a beautiful girl who I would never see again.
I felt warm arms wrap around me.
Mom.
Dad took the note out of my hand as Mom hugged me tight to her chest. When I finally kinda calmed down and went to staring at the stars they finally asked.
"Where did you get this?"
"I don't know." I breathed, "it just appeared out of nowhere."
"Ok well Amy and Kenric will be home in around an hour do you want to be left alone?"
"Yes and can we not tell them about...." My voice trailed off but Mom seemed to understand she nodded, kissing me forehead before leaving the room with Dad.
I sat there staring at the ceiling, I don't know why it helps but it does, I think it's the stars that were put up there.
I sat there till I heard the door open and Dad say,
"There they are. How was your first day of school?"
I laughed and sat up readying myself to act like I didn't have a big incident.
And sure enough after 5 minutes Amy and Kenric came in looking exhausted.
I made my voice like Dads,
"There they are. How was school?"
Amy laughed.
"Yeah it's was ok but it was way better for Kenric."
"Oohhh what happened?"
"Kenric got himself a girlfriend."
"What?!"
Dad walked in with Mom smiling behind.
"Dad!" Kenric groaned.
"You are just like Grady you know?" Mom laughed.
"No I'm not." Dad defended, "I just want to know who this girl is."
When Kenric stayed silent Amy chimed in.
"Her name is Eclipse she is the Vackers daughter."
"Oh she seemed nice at the meetings when the kids are aloud." Mom said with a smile.
"She's not my girlfriend." Kenric was bright red and that only made me and Amy smile more.
"Kenric has a girlfriend! Kenric has a girlfriend!"
"Now now girls."
"Oh I almost wish I was there."
"Yeah I mean like what did you do all day watch Netflix all day."
I laughed looking up at the stars for a second, trying to changed the subject so they wouldn't know what actually happened.
Mom and Dad got ride of the box with the note but I stared at the place where the box was, I had moved all the books and the rug that was where the box appeared.
I put the books in a square so I would know exactly where the box was, Mom and Dad looked to where I was looking, they saw what I did and I could feel the pity wafting through the air.
Amy and Kenric followed our gaze looking confused when they saw we were looking at a square of books on the ground.
"Why are you.........?" Kenric was going to ask but Dad cut him off.
I felt myself lean back and look at the stars again counting them one by one.

"Did something happen?" Amy asked but I couldn't deal with people right now.
"Leave please."
"What?" I couldn't tell who asked but I couldn't deal with it so I repeated myself still staring at the ceiling.
"Leave please."
They seemed to understand so they left me to my own thoughts, I mean sure I could still hear them but I didn't care.
I reached to my desk picking up a clicky pen and clicking it.
Again.
And again.
So I sat there, staring at the stars waiting for, something I don't know what but something.

I have been updating a lot so sorry if it's hard to keep up I just need a distraction from life but anyways
