Danielle POV
"Oh my god Amalia,"
"What happened?" I asked, getting out of my car to get to her.
I tried to pick her up off of the ground but she fought against me.
"No, no," she cried out.
I kept hold of her.
""No!" she screamed.
"Let go! Let go of me," she yelled out, thrashing about and kicking out her legs in an attempt to escape.
"Stop sweet girl," I said as calmly as possible.
"Stop fighting it sweetheart,"
"It's me, I've got you,"
"It's Danielle,"
When I said my name she instantly stopped flighting, giving in and collapsing to the floor again.
"Come here Mali, let me help you up," I said, attempting again to get her to her feet.
"No, just let me die here," she wined, her body all floppy due to her lack of control.
My heart was breaking for her.
I needed to get her somewhere safe.
"Mali, let Dani help you, let me help you sunshine," I said, trying to hide the panic in my voice.
"Get away," she screamed, pushing me away.
"Amalia, I'm not leaving you," I said, bending down ans lifting her against her will.
If anyone were to come by, they'd definitely accuse me of kidnapping right now.
Managing to hold her with one arm, I opened the passenger door and tried to get her in.
"Just leave me," she sobbed, trying to get back out.
"Mali, you're okay. You're going to be okay, please trust me baby girl," I said desperately, dragging the seatbelt across her and clicking it in.
I raced around the car to climb into the drivers seat, locking the doors before she even had a second to try and escape.
"D-Danielle," she sobbed, finally using my name.
"I'm here my sunshine, I'm gonna get you somewhere safe," I assured her, reaching over to put my hand on her knee.
She couldn't sit still, her anxiety usually left her fidgeting but this was something else.
She was drunk.
She was 13 and she was drunk.
Even I felt as though I might throw up.
"I don't like it," she cried, gripping tightly to her head.
"Make it stop," she begged.
"We'll be at my house soon Mali I promise. Not much further," I reassured her.
"Make it stop Dani," she cried out again.
"I will sweetheart, I'm gonna try," I told her.
I pulled up on my driveway and quickly got out to help Amalia. Opening her door, I unbuckled her and moved to take hold of her again.
Realising that there was no way she could walk, I tried to lift her back up into my arms.
"Let go," she fought back, wriggling around in my arms.
"Amalia, I'm just getting you inside," I explained.
With one hand, I unlocked the front door and closed it again behind us once we were safely inside.
