- A few days later -

Danielle POV

"Do you think we should do the back yard up when we're in Europe over summer?" I asked Stefania as we lay in bed.

She rolled over onto her side to face me, propped up on her elbow, her head resting in her hand.

"What were you thinking?" She asked, reaching out her other hand and gently stroking back Amalia's hair off her face.

Amalia lay fast asleep between the two of us having come in to our room in the middle of the night.

"Well, I was thinking we could maybe get a pool put in, there's definitely space," I said, voicing what I'd been thinking about for a while.

"That's a big job," Stefania pointed out.

"I know but we'd be away for a lot of it so we wouldn't be affected by much of the disruption," I countered.

"The bambina would love a pool," Stef smiled, looking back at Amalia.

"I think we'd struggle to get her out of it," I smirked, watching her chest softly rise and fall as she slept.

"We could get a gardener to design it, make sure there's still lots of space for a seating area and for the dogs to run around," I added.

"And maybe a little vegetable patch, a herb garden?" Stef said hopefully.

"Of course my love," I agreed, already picturing her tending to her tomato plants.

"We won't have too long to get it all arranged though before we leave for Europe," Stefania said, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Well the season's almost finished so we've got a break coming up,"

"Then let's do it bella," Stefania agreed, finally convinced.

"And....." I said slowly.

"What bellina?" She frowned.

"We still haven't decided what we're doing with this little one when we're away," I said, gesturing to the tiny teen whose hand was attached to me even in her sleep.

"There's Barret or your mom or ..." Stef began before I cut her off.

"Stef," I said seriously.

She paused, looking at me as if she already knew suggesting people was pointless.

"Si bella I know," she nodded sadly.

"We're not going to be able to leave her with anyone," she added, saying what we both knew.

"She's not ready," I sighed, my hand resting softly on Mali's back as she lay on her front.

"We can't put her through the trauma of us leaving the country for a few weeks. She's not spent a night away from us since she moved in here," I pointed out.

"Apart from when Lorena..."

I stopped talking.

"Danielle bella it's okay, I don't feel comfortable leaving her either when she still relies on us so much," Stefania said, quick to comfort me.

"But what about the jealousy issue?" I said, knowing we would be meeting with hundreds of fans.

"We've time to prepare her and to work on that. She'll just have to accept that coming with us means us meeting fans,"

"That might be harder than we think," I chuckled.

Stefania glanced at me with a questioning eye.

"Did you not see the look she gave you yesterday when you were holding Chiara's
hand to walk through the crowd?"
