Naya's Point of View

"Where should we go?"

He suddenly asked when we finally out of the hospital. Hinintay pala niya ako sa labas. Akala ko nasa kotse na siya.

Tumingin naman ako sa kaniya pero hindi ko mabasa ang kaniyang hitsura. Hindi ko alam kung galit ba siya gaya ng sinasabi ni Felix o hindi.

"Uh, there's a mall around here. Gusto mo ruon na lang tayo?" I suggested, kailangan ko pa rin naman ng opinyon niya.

"Of course. Let's go." Sagot niya sabay ka-agad na tumalikod at nag-lakad patungo sa kotse niya. Ano ba 'yun?

Hindi ko talaga siya mabasa. Hindi ko alam kung galit ba siya or may gusto siyang sahihin sa'kin. There's something off on his words and actions, or I'm just overthinking again?

I tried to ignore his actions and entered the car. Nag-busina lang ako para makuha ko ang atensyon niya at para sumunod sa'kin sa pag-dadrive papunta sa mall na sinasabi ko.

Nag-simula na 'kong mag-drive at sumusunod naman siya sa'kin. Hindi ko naman maiwasan na mag-isip kung may nangyari ba sa kaniya before siya mag-punta rito, o dahil sa narinig niya ang conversation namin ni Felix and that's why he's acting like this.

Should I explain my side? Na kaya ko lang naman sinabi kay Felix ang mga 'yun ay para tumigil na siya dahil baka may masabi pa 'ko na hindi nila dapat malaman.

Ewan ko! Simula pa lang sobrang hirap basahin ng mga iniisip ni Lux.

After 10 minutes we arrived to the mall that I suggested. Nauna na 'kong nag-park at sumunod naman siya. Bumaba na 'ko at nakita ko siyang nag-hihintay sa'kin.

Inunahan ko na siyang lumapit sa kaniya at inaya siya sa loob at tumango naman siya. We're now walking.

"So, any thoughts about your present for Levy?" I quickly looked at him to his sudden asked.

"Uh, I'm thinking about something-- wait! Why should I tell you. Secret dapat." Agad na nag-bago ang isip ko. Hindi ko pwedeng ipalam sa kaniya ang regalo ko para sa pamangkin niya.

He let out a chuckles. "Seriously? At the end of Levy's birthday, I will know your present for her, so why not now?" He's trying to argue with me.

"I know pero mas maganda pa rin na si Levy muna ang unang makakakita ng regalo ko for her. Kaya naman kailangan mong mag-hintay sa labas ng boutique or else pumikit ka mamaya." Sabay tawa ko, but I'm not joking with him.

"You're joking, right?" His eyes squinted, but I shook my head for him to know that I was not really joking.

He scoffed. Well kung ayaw niyang pumikit, edi mag-hintay na lang siya labas ng boutique kung saan ako bibili ng gift for Levy.

"That's not fair. What would you feel if I'm the one asking you to close your eyes, then? " He turned back the question to me and I immediately reacted.

"Anong close my eyes?! You even blindfolded me! Remember at the Tagaytay, when you brought me to the Taal Volcano? You made me wore a blindfold just to surprise me." Naalala ko pa 'yun. Muntikan pa 'kong ma-dapa dahil sa piring sa'king mga mata.

"Yeah. I remember that." He answered after a short silence in a silent tone.

At first I was confused why he answered like that, but I realized what did I just tell him was what happened to us before at the Tagaytay. It made me looked to the front. Umiwas agad ako ng tingin.

Omg, Naya! Ano bang mga pinag-sasabi mo?! Kung ano-ano na lang! Naisip ko tuloy, like everytime na kasama ko si Lux I was constantly remembering and blurting some things what happened to us 8 years ago. And the deal is and the same time good thing, sa kaniya pa lagi ako nadudulas.
