Hello again dear readers, with out much ado here is the third and final installment of Dreamer!

...

As soon as your feet hit the ground you knew the way home.

It was as though they could not take you as fast as you wanted. Your years of travel had earned you patience, but now it was nowhere to be seen as images of that big old lonely mountain flashed in your head.

There was also that gut-wrenching feeling of anxiety.

Of course you wanted to see everyone again

Kili and Fili with their bright smiles and hearty laughs, Dwalin and Bofur; their questions and excitement over the things you had seen and experienced.

And at the center of that was Thorin, the main cause of your torment.

Had he really been waiting all these years to see you again? Would he even want to?

But then your mind flashes to the night you left, and him saying that he understood why you were going. You knew in your heart your pilgrimage had been necessary and you regretted nothing, but now you were content with everything you had seen and were ready to become homeward bound.

About a week had passed when you reached Dale. The small town had rebuilt itself, although it didn't look the same. You doubted it ever would.

It was late evening when you quietly entered a tavern, taking note that everyone in town must be there.

You wandered up to the fire, sticking your hands out to soak up the warmth. Lost in your own thoughts, you barely noticed familiar voices behind you. Thinking it couldn't be, you sat in a chair near the flames and rehearsed in your mind what you were going to say.

You had been working on it since you decided to head back, but nothing seemed to fit the situation appropriately.

"Hello, I'm back!" seemed too simple.

"After all this time I have returned, but my heart never left you in the first place," seemed too cheesy, but it was on the nose.

Still in your own little world, you failed to notice three shadows moving ever closer to you, one going slightly faster than the others.

"Are you new in town miss, and would you like a drink? Hopefully you're not a big light-weight like this other girl I know," rang a cheerful voice from behind you.

A rush of excitement coursed through your veins as you whipped around, and saw your best friend in the whole world standing behind you.

You rushed into Kili's arms and he spun you around while you held on tight and laughed.

"Oh Kili you have no idea how glad I am to see your big stupid face!" you exclaimed, stepping back to look at the dwarf.

"Oh I bet I do know," he replied, "but you have no idea how glad I am to see yours (Y/N)."

You smiled at each other for a moment before you realized who was behind him. You looked and there was Bilbo and Gandalf. A small wave of relief rushed over you when you realized that Thorin wasn't among them, as you still had no idea what to say to him.

Bilbo walked forward and smiled as he went in for a hug, Gandalf following suit after.

"Miss (Y/N) how wonderful to see you around here," Bilbo said to you, "we really weren't expecting you, were we Gandalf?" he turned in question to the wizard.

Gandalf looked at you, a knowing glint in his eyes.

"I do not believe we were Bilbo no, but it is very pleasant that young (Y/N) could join us," he said with a small smile.
