Part 19: A Young Dragon

After the events of the past five minutes, the group returned to the main deck where everyone was. "What happened?" Alya said. "We heard shouting, is everyone alright?"

"Yeah," Thomas said. "Emilie was almost akumatized, but we managed to get away from it."

"Oh, man! Are you ok girl?" Alya said, grabbing Emilie's shoulders. 

"Yeah, I'll be ok," Emilie said. "It was just a bit of a shock."

"How'd you get away from the Akuma?" Nino asked

"We, uh, scared it away!" Thomas said unconvincingly. "Yeah! Emilie found some, uh, bug spray in her purse and used it to scare it away." Thomas then smiled sheepishly.

While Emilie was still trying to process what had happened, the girl Adrien had come with came up to Emilie. "I hope you're ok," she said. She then leaned into Emilie's ear and whispered. "You're lucky Adrien and your brother were there. But next time you should defend yourself, instead of relying on others for strength."

Emilie just looked at this girl in confusion. Who did she think she was?! As she walked away, Thomas's eyes went wide. He walked over to Emilie. "I know her! She was a part of the Miraculous Super Squad! She's Ryuko! The Dragon Miraculous holder!"

Emilie looked in awe. Ryuko was one of the most powerful Miraculous holders and was a personal hero of Emilie's. She was known for being relentless and having tremendous willpower.

"That's really Ryuko?" Emilie said. "Wow. I never expected her to be so, young."

"We're in the past Emilie," Thomas said. "Everyone is young."

"Yeah but still, she's so wise and strong-willed in the future. She seems so different now."

Before they could comment any more on the obvious, a woman in a black pantsuit and glasses stepped on board. She had short, dark hair that was dyed red at the ends. "Adrien, your father needs you back at home. He needs you to start preparing for the ball tonight."

"Can't I say a few more minutes Natalie?" Adrien said. "I've only just gotten here."

"I'm sorry Adrien, but your father requests it."

Adrien grumpily stepped off the boat "Do you need a ride home Kagami?" Adrien asked.
"I believe I do. Thank you, Adrien."

The two left the boat and Emilie could see Marinette's face falling in despair.

"What are we gonna do?" Thomas whispered. "Dad can't be allowed to be there by himself. If he is then who knows what our Hawk Moth could do?"

"We'll just have to sneak in," Emilie said. "Tonight. I'm sure we can find some way, right?"
