Miraculous: Tales of Ms. Ladybug and Tom Cat

Part 56: The Plan

"I see." Adult Bunyx said. "So that's why you have the Miraculous this early." she pointed at Luka. "And why you're here."

"So what's the plan?" Luka said. "We know who Emilie and Thomas are and why they came. But we still don't know what happened after they entered the portal and how Thomas became Chat Blanc."

"Well I can tell you the first part," she replied. "After they entered the portal I gave them some new clothes, my old cell phone, and a few other things to help them blend in with the people of the time. I also told them to use their powers for emergencies only and do not interfere too much with past events." she walked over to one of her portals and it showed them fighting Rose Queen. "That second part didn't go so well."

She then put her hand to her chin in thought. "But how were they able to akumatise Thomas? And why can't we see that him getting akumatized?" She shook her head, confused about what this could mean. "One thing is for sure. He needs to be stopped."

"How are we gonna do that?" Young Bunyx asked. "He's pretty much an unstoppable destruction monster. He destroyed all of Paris in a single attack!"

"Well, we can't interfere with events too much or else you two will cease to exist." Bunyx said "But we do need to stop him. So let's make a plan." she walked over to one of the portals. "These portals are windows into different points and places in time. And certain ones will even show you to different futures. So all we need to do is find the right window that shows him being de-akumatized and our team winning." She looked up, "there are a lot, so let's get started, "The trio split up and looked for the portal. It took them a few hours, but eventually, they found the right portal. In it they saw Emilie with Thomas behind a piece of rubble, offering the Black Cat Miraculous to him.

"I found it!" Young Bunyx said, pumping her fist in victory. The two rushed over and found she was correct.

"Alright," Adult Bunyx said. "Now let's reverse the portal and see how we ended up here."

Young Bunyx nodded and slid the portal backward to see the events leading up to it.

As they watched the events leading up to their future, Viperion's eyes went wide. "This can't be real," he said in shock. "There has to be another way! Marinette doesn't deserve this!"

Adult Buyx just looked resigned. "We don't have time to look for another one. This series of events will be risky, but in the end, it will work out and Thomas and Emilie will have their Miraculous back."

"This is crazy." Young Bunyx said. "How are they ever gonna believe us? How are they ever going to agree to this?"

"We can't tell them." Adult Bunyx said. "If we do it could mess up the whole plan."

She looked at both of them. They were so young and free of the troubles that would hurt them later in life. "I wish there was another way," Bunyx said. "I do. But this is the only solution we have right now. And if we don't do it, then the entire world ends. I wish we didn't have to do this, but sometimes people need to do the wrong things for the right reasons."
Viperion strengthened his resolve. "I don't like it. I don't think I ever will. But I'll go through with it." he said. "No matter what it takes I will protect my friends. And Marinette. Whatever the cost."

Adult Bunyx nodded as she looked at him. He wasn't too different in the future, the main difference being his lack of a goatee, but his resolve was something that he always had, regardless of his age.

She looked over at her younger self. Still perplexed at the fact that she was ever that young. She grabbed her younger self's shoulders. "What about you, Mini-Me?" she asked.

"If you think it's the best idea then we can do it," she said. "After all, it's technically my idea, right?"

"That's not exactly how it works but I understand what you're saying."

She then grabbed one of Luka's shoulders and held them both close.

"All hope might seem lost right now, but if we use our plan then it'll work. So here's how it needs to go down."
